Amazing food and service as always. My absolute favourite Indian restaurant.

We dined at, The Appleyard, in Sidcup, for the first time, and it was a very enjoyable experience. We shared an appetiser which was the Berenjena Fritas, which is fried Aubergine, Goats Cheese and honey served in a similar form to Arancini. Mains were all of substantial portions. One of my guests had a Sirloin Steak, which was cooked to his personal choice, perfectly. The food was served hot too, but not on heated crockery. The waiting service was attentive, but not rushed or over zealous. Adequate time was provided until we were ready to order. The wine was nicely chilled and served on time too. We arrived on a Friday evening at, 19:30pm, and the restaurant was quiet. By 20:30pm, it was very busy, and the evening continued with a steady stream of diners. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with an unusual array of different wines and ports on display for sale, in the entrance, by the bottle, which was a very thoughtful and inventive feature. I shall definitely be returning in the near future and highly recommend a visit. Thank you for your attentive floor service and excellent fayre.

The service was good but the food wasn’t as tasteful as in our previous visits and the ambient music was too loud, which means we had to shout across each other so we could hear one another. We requested the sound to be turned down a bit, which was promptly done but shortly after, it was raised again. Later on a live act started but it was also a bit too loud. We were in a group of 12 and we all felt the same. Unfortunately, we don’t think it was worth the money we paid.

Service and food never disappoint, staff always make me feel at home and they spoil my little furry baby with lots of treats. The new trout is delicious and I need to know where they get their sourdough! Thank you to Natalia and the whole team! I’ll be back soon!
