   Our second visit to The Fat Canary did not disappoint. Service is spot on; gracious, attentive, and efficient. The food was lovely. We enjoyed the soup special: cream of onion. It was creamy with the delicate taste of onion. The Rockfish special was also delicious. And the porkchop with goat cheese bread pudding, and apples was outstanding

   Everything about this place was outstanding. The service was great, the food was delicious, the ambiance was perfect. The next time we celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary, we will be back! 😉😀

   The food was amazing. So good, I could do it again tonight! The sommolier who was our server recommended an excelent pairing for our food and it transformed our experience. The pairing made the wine as smooth as lindt chocolate, it was equally delicious without being sweet. Thats the only way to descibe it. I had been trying to get a reservation for weeks and now I know why it’s so popular. An exceptional experience.

   We arrived earlier than our reservation and the host made a table at the bar for us to enjoy a drink while we waited. He later carried our drinks to our reserved table and checked our coats. This is the first time I’ve dined and felt the need to compliment the host in particular. While we waited the house manager explained the specials and showed the real passion and care for their menu. Our service for our meal was excellent, the food was excellent as well. We live in Pennsylvania, but we’re able to dine at the fat Canary five years ago for our 10th wedding anniversary and we’re happy to have a reason to be there for our 15th anniversary this year. We wish we lived closer, this is the first time we’ve returned to a high-end restaurant after a wonderful experience and have had every expectation met or exceeded the second visit as well. We started with the tuna and the fresh mozzarella and ham. We enjoyed the soup special. I had the scallops and my wife had the tenderloin. Our dessert was the macadamia nut pie. Everything was exceptional. The service was excellent. Though it’s five hours from our house, the fat Canary is undoubtedly our favorite restaurant

   Best restaurant in Williamsburg. Fabulous food, super service, nice wine list. This spot would rival the best big city fine dining restaurants. It’s a chef-driven place that’s head and shoulders above anything else near here.

   Our entire experience from the start to the end was over the top! We got to the restaurant early for a drink. The bar staff went out of their way to make it happen! It is always very busy and a reservation is a must. Our table server read us clearly and made our dinner an event. The waitperson’s suggestions were excellent. We have been coming to Fat Canary since the restaurant opened. The restaurant keeps getting better. Well Done!!!
