   We went for my husband’s birthday dinner. Edward’s ribeye is his favorite and it never disappoints. We always start with a Martini blue cheese olives ! I enjoyed the salmon special And finished with chocolate mousse and a scotch

   Called for a reservation at 630 but was told they only have 6pm available. Show up to the restaurant and we were the only people in the dining room. Very uncomfortable being the only customers in the dining room and no sure why they couldn’t offer us a table 30 minutes later. Restaurant did not have people coming in for a solid 45 minutes. Food was fantastic but that was odd

   The steak was excellent, the sea scallops were dreamy & the burrata was creamy!! It was a fantastic night at Edward’s!!

   Steak was 10/10! Service was good too! 4 stars because the Mac & cheese was disappointing. Dessert was a little dry too.

   Based on reviews I had expected better quality of meat. The customer service quality was good, and the waiter brought everything as expected. Dessert was my favorite part of the meal. I was disappointed in my “Gotham” style rib eye. For a $98, 32 ounce steak I expected a better quality of meat. It was about 75 percent fat. That was the biggest disappointment for me. Overall, I would rate it a 3 out of 5 due to the service, dessert, sides and ambiance.

   Usually great food and service but I guess last night was an “off” night. Service was a bit slow after the dining room started to fill up. Not personable at all considering I’ve noted in our reservation that we were dining there because of a special occasion. Crab cake was dry and the risotto on the scallop dish was too salty. Steaks were fine but again if paying top dollar for premium grade steaks at least get some nice service to go with it, not just “are you ready to order?” like we are at McDonald’s.

   Just like any of the best New York steak houses, but on a low key intimate level in Jersey City. Been entertaining at this establishment for more over 15 years... Edwards is the kind of restaurant from way back when that's still eeks outs it's livelihood in the old brownstone area of Jersey City... Truly a hidden gem.

   So cozy it feels like you’re eating in a friend’s home. The food was delicious(my companions ate steaks of various kinds and sizes, I had seared ahi tuna) and the service was prompt and attentive. The noise level was quite low (caveat, it was a Tuesday night so I can’t vouch for weekends) Overall a delightful surprise. Don’t be discouraged when you walk in (to a bar.) The dining room is up a steep flight of stairs. Completely different atmosphere.

    The food is good but pricy (prices comparable to delfriscos or highend steakhouses). The aspargus was ok, the creamed spinach was good and the garlic mash was really good. The waiter was very attentive. The restaurant is small but quaint and cozy. Great place for a romantic dinner.
