Dudley's Restaurant has been a mainstay on the Lexington dining scene since 1981. Centered in the heart of downtown Lexington, Dudley's offers delicious modern American cuisine with an award-winning wine list to match. Food Network has featured Dudley's for the classic Tournedos Maxwell and has been awarded "Best of the South" twice by Southern Living Magazine. Dudley's was recently awarded a Lifetime Achievement award from the KY Department of Agriculture for using KY Proud ingredients in Chef Bradley Hoffman's globally inspired menus. Dudley's welcomes guests to enjoy dining in the more casual bar area, formal main dining room, or on the rooftop terrace.*

Our experience for dinner at Dudley‘s on short was exquisite as usual. Table was ready when we got there. Service was fast… server was attentive.

We had a lovely evening out at Dudleys on Short. We were greeted promptly for our reservation time and were sat at a nice table in the back. The overall ambience is welcoming, upscale but comfortable, not stuffy. Every staff member we encountered was pleasant, professional and attentive. Erin F was a fantastic waitress! We started off with 2 Heath's Old Fashioneds - expertly crafted and delightful to sip. We have a son who is vegetarian - he ordered the goat cheese, Panza-Nicoise, and Croquettes. All were well prepared and tasty. Our other son ordered the calamari as his meal - perfectly prepared and the sauce was delicious. For my meal, I chose the pasta special which included local ramps, snap peas and mushrooms - my favorite meal of the night, with the calamari as a close 2nd. My husband had the ribeye which was our least favorite item of the night - fatty and overcooked. We did not bring it to their attention, so that was on us, as I know they would have addressed it. The hubby didn't mention it until walking out, just didn't feel like dealing with it. Dessert (black tie sundae) and coffee were delicious.

Dudley’s is the quintessential dining establishment in Lexington. You MUST try it, you won’t be disappointed. Food is superb, service is phenomenal, and the overall vibe is devine. Do not miss this spot!
