   We were visiting Charlotte and had time for just one dinner out - and boy, did we luck out with our choice! Custom shop is in a very charming neighborhood and the ambiance inside is really lovely - modern but cozy with a lovely bar area. It's like having dinner in a sophisticated and artsy friend's home. My friend and I sat at the bar. The bartender is delightful and the cocktails were innovative and delicious. Our dinner (hamachi crudo) and two pastas was really outstanding. I'm still dreaming about the pastas (agnolotti and canestri) were just incredible! I'll definitely be back!

   One of our choice places for a consistently good dining experience. On this occasion, booked last minute thru Open Table which was very easy. Took a late reservation as that is what was available on short notice. Very attentive service. CS is more of small plate / sharing spot but the there is a full entree menu, though somewhat short on offerings - a meat, fish, shellfish and vegetarian option plus sharable pastas which could be an entree. Our selections of appetizers / salads and entrees were all excellent -- unusual preparations sourced with local NC ingredients. Everything being served around us at other tables looked delicious too and seemed to be equally enjoyed by other diners. Nice cozy atmosphere with an energetic vibe.

   Way too loud for a small intimate environment. I wanted to love it but I was very disappointed. They had wonderful reviews but from the beginning we arrived at 7:36 for an 8:00pm reservation and we were told closer to our reservation. They suggested we sit outside, which we did. Bartender came outside, my husband ordered a glass of wine, and never asked me if I wanted anything. I stopped him to grab me a glass of water. Very odd. Anyway, We went into dinner and it was fine but not the best. Thank you

   We came in at 9:15. Food was amazing as always, but service blew us away! Our server was so friendly and had some great recommendations.

   Really tasty food and cocktails. Cozy atmosphere with moderate sound level throughout the restaurant. Polite and very attentive wait staff. Reasonably priced for the quality of food. Would recommend as a great date night.

   My husband and I went to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and we had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, and the service was great. The ambience was also lovely. Would highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back!
