At Babette, the husband and wife team of Joan Ellis and Patrick Hooker, are in the kitchen preparing each plate to ensure that their vision and taste profile are translated to each diner. The attention to detail are evident in not only the food they make but also the ambience they have created. The interior of the restaurant is natural brick and the couple have chosen a rich color palette of deep blues and greens for the walls. An elegant chandelier hangs over a natural wood backed booth providing both a cozy and elegant feel to the room. Outside on the spacious patio, a magnificent redwood tree provides natural shade to the built in seating area and plants are abundant creating a lush, garden setting. Live music Brunches, New York style Pizza, unique Entrees and our famous Sicilian Lemon Almond Pistachio Cake are just a taste of what you will find at Babette. Warm and knowledgeable staff will make you feel like part of the family.

Located just outside Chase Center in Thrive City, Che Fico Pizzeria is a lively and high-energy restaurant serving event goers and neighbors alike. The restaurant itself features indoor and outdoor dining options, with a robust bar as the center point of the sprawling patio. We're open for dinner every night, as well as lunch Monday-Friday (walk in only, seating is all first come first served!).     Absolutely love their pizza and the wedge salad was delicious. But most of all their cocktails have always been a solid foundation (we had the Manhattan and old-fashioned). Our service was outstanding…whereas the competition down the street is some of the worse I’ve seen. Opportunity for improvement: It’s time to refinish the tables. It seem that the cleaning product may have eaten away at the finish, causing him to be slightly sticky.

    One of our favorite restaurants in Oakland. Every time we go, Pizzaiolo always wows us with their food. They have a rotating seasonal menu, but if you are lucky enough to be there the same day they have their meatballs, you will not regret ordering them. So good! I always seek out less spirit forward drinks from their bar since they can be quite strong, but any server we have has been more than willing to help us out. And save room for desert - never disappointed!
