Drinks (especially non alcoholic) were expensive hence the 4 vs 5 stars for value, but fantastic food and excellent experience otherwise.

The meal was for a family celebration and Trivet gave us memorable evening. There were six of us and each of our dishes was beautifully cooked, interestingly different and delicious. The service was excellent - attentive without being over-bearing and the balance between formality and friendliness was just right. The restaurant itself is relaxed, unpretentious, and has a nice feel - tables are reasonably spread out and there's an open kitchen. Noise OK (could be quieter but not a problem). Cost for the six of us including wine (at the lower cost end of their wine menu) and everything else was around £1,100. Good value? Its not cheap but for such an enjoyable evening - a definite yes.

The Spanish manager is so welcoming. He offers exceptional service and he truly made the experience. The food is flavoursome and great quality, especially the beef tartar and the Weiner schnitzel which were my favourites. Overall, a great restaurant, a unique hotel and an enjoyable place to dine.
