Best European Restaurants in Balmain

Friendly reception on arrival and although we arrived earlier than our booking time, the waitress very quickly organised a table for us. Our very pleasant waiter who attended us was efficient and courteous. We had a wait for our main meal as the particular dish we ordered took sometime to cook. This had been explained to us when ordering. There is a good variety of choices on the wine menu so no problem whiling away the time with a nice wine. Look forward to visiting this restaurant again😀

This is a cute restaurant, you feel like you have been transported to an old European type cafe/bistro Food is pretty good, ambiance is great, Wednesday's there is live jazz music, downstairs, and there's definitely a great vibe, mostly young artistic types, but we are in our 60's and had a great time

Great experience. Tasty food taking me back to the dinner party days of thr 80s. Some really great flavours. Good cocktails and wine list. We ate: French Onion dip, sourdough with the tastiest butter ever, sausage roll, cheese royale, minute steak and schnitzel with cauliflower side… and shared the pavlova for dessert!

Our experience started when we entered this magnificent restaurant, the ambience was amazing, the service was excellent and the food and wine was exceptional. Ten out of ten!

This is the kind of restaurant we need more of in Sydney. Definitely the "neighbourhood gem" category. There's real skill in the kitchen and they're turning out really well executed and presented quality plates of simply tasty food. It's not made for your instagram - it's made for your mouth and tummy! Service is super friendly and efficient. You know you're in a good place when the waitress says "no, don't order that extra bread- you already get bread with the dish you ordered"!!!
