Food was very good, and a terrific value - lunch of multiple small plates was $29 each and we had something like a dozen little courses. Standouts were the peppers, goulash, carrots, eggplant and beet salad. It was fun trying so many different things, and we could have stayed another 30 minutes and tried more under the lunch terms. Service was a little slow in terms of time to get our first ordered item, and it would have been nice to get a clean plate midway through, but those are minor nitpicks.

A definite neighborhood treasure. Cozy ambience. Menu has something for everyone. It was all delicious and the service, in spite of a very large party, was attentive, friendly and set a nice pace for the meal.

We had an amazing experience here. The last time I dined at Staropolska was 10 years ago when I dined with my oldest son. This time, I met my middle son here because it is halfway between Logan Square and Old Irving Park where each of us lives. What a gem!!! We had the very same booth, an amazing waitress, delicious drinks and most of all, the best food we've had in a long long time. And we are food 'snobs' which we readily admit. We enjoyed the appetizer platter and an order of tartare...TO DIE FOR. And we followed it up with borscht and perogies and loved every bite. This isn't just a great Polish restaurant...this is one of the top spots in the city, bar none. And easy parking out front. Drive, run, or walk - enjoy every minute!!
