Best Contemporary Mexican Restaurants in Downtown

The wait staff was extremely attentive and considerate of one of our party’s peanut allergies. Highlights of the meal was sea bass in a subtle adobo with toasted amaranth. The cocktails were also excellent. I learned about the diverse flavors of mezcal. I would highly recommend República for a special occasion.

My husband and I and I travel to Mexico very often and I’ve yet to find a restaurant that can capture some of the upscale but authentic styles of food we’ve seen in our travels. Everything from the service, cocktail and food was fantastic. Their menu caters well to people with pallergens or vegan.

The place has a good atmosphere. The service is great, They are attentive without being obtrusive a hard balance to strike. The food is good. The value at happy hour was quite good. Really do my wife and I finish dinner at around $50 and that was with 2 ciders. It was a perfect place to have dinner being only a mile from the Moda center where we saw a concert that night. If you are looking for a place to eat that is close to event centers this is a great option.
