Luisa's on Guerrero is a quaint little neighborhood italian restaurant like you'd find in, well, Italy. We loved it. Simple, straight forward menu. Lots of homemade pastas and great pizzas. The best part for us was, Luisa was actually there. She was sitting in the booth next to us. I was with my wife and 21 and 17 yo boys. She came over and just started chatting us up. She's like 94 years old and still going strong! What a treat to meet her. Side note, she told us she came to America and got married to her Navy man when she was 14 and they had to lie about her age. She had a family and her granddaughter is getting ready to take over the restaurants. Oh, and all of our food was delicious.

Dining at Barberio Osteria last night was one of the most satisfying dining experiences I’ve had in years!! When I and my two dining companions tried the amazingly fresh bread and wonderfully unique olive oil that they presented us I knew we were in for an unforgettable dining experience. Their sommelier paired our meals with a fragrant and effervescent medium bodied red wine that was perfect. Their pastas in our dishes were fresh and wonderfully textured. I had the Malloreddus while my friends ordered the Pappardelle and Cappelletti. The Papparelle in particular was OUTSTANDING, and I’ll order it on my next visit! We finished our meals with a Meyer Lemon sorbetto and dessert that isn’t currently on the online menu. But the featured hazelnut sauce will stick with me for a long time. The bottom line is this dining experience was so pitch perfect from beginning to end that a day later I am compelled to write this review. I will bring other friends to this restaurant so that they too can have the joy of experiencing it.

The pasta class was an awesome experience! We learned how to hand knead artisanal flour and make 4 types of hand-pressed and 4 types of filled pasta while learning the history/background for each. They showed us the machines they use to make their extruded pasta and freely answered all our questions. Beverages and fresh rosemary shortbread were available throughout the 3.5 hour class. After we finished making our pasta we got to observe them being prepared into the dishes we dined on afterward. Our teachers were very knowledgeable and helpful. I definitely recommend
