It was named by Esquire magazine in 2005 as one of "The Best Food Bites in the USA". Peking Duck was also named one of the best restaurants in the country by a Zagat survey in 2015. The star of the show here is, of course, the Peking duck. Peking Duck (the restaurant) has been named by the Washingtonian to have the best Peking duck (the dish) for ten years running. For those unfamiliar with this dish, the secret is the thinly sliced, crispy skin that is seasoned with scallions, cucumber, and sweet bean sauce then slow roasted. It's a delicate process that takes time and skill, but the final product is well worth the wait. It also serves a variety of other classic Chinese dishes as well.
