We saw mothers and little girl daughters, a bachlorette party, a young couple where the guy seemed really into it (!), and we were 2 close friend moms with our young adult daughters. Emmi was one of the best, kindest, most amazing wait staffers I have experienced. She asked if we were celebrating something special. We told her, actually, a beloved friend who loved Queen Mary Tea had recently passed away and we were memorializing her. Emmi handled that so well and made sure the moment was treated as specially as a Happy Birthday. We each had a different delicious tea. LOVED the Brie and strawberry omelette and the salmon quiche. Our vegan daughter was beautifully accommodated. All in all a perfect visit. Make your reservations early and often. This place is popular for a reason!More infoQueen Mary Tea RoomPrice: Moderate• Afternoon Tea• Laurelhurst•4.8

- SSuziVIPSeattle / Eastern Washington •12 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoWe enjoyed breakfast at Portage Bay Cafe on Easter Sunday. We had a reservation, which was definitely needed that day. It was an incredibly busy morning for the restaurant, and they were staffed appropriately. We were immediately greeted at the host stand and our reservation was acknowledged. We were seated within 10 minutes of our reservation time. Our server greeted us immediately and was attentive throughout our meal. I ordered the Florentine Benedict and selected the salad over the potatoes, as a side. The side salad was enough for the meal! The ingredients were so fresh and delicious. My daughter ordered the Classic Benedict with the side potatoes, and said it was also delicious. My husband ordered the Swedish Pancakes which included a trip to the berry bar. He thoroughly enjoyed the pancakes and loaded up on delicious fresh blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and whip cream from the berry bar. All of us had plenty of food (more than we could eat) and we felt like the price was fair and a good value. My daughter also enjoyed a traditional mimosa, which was large and delicious. I was impressed with how the restaurant handled such a busy holiday breakfast and I look forward to returning.More infoPortage Bay Cafe - South Lake UnionPrice: Moderate• Northwest• Lake Union / Eastlake•4.7
