Best Beer Gardens in Old City

Amazing as usual! The new spring cocktails are sensational : )

This was our first visit to this location of LaScala's, and so glad we came here for our anniversary. What a beautiful location on the water, and parking was wonderfully easy. There are tables inside and outside, the noise level inside was minimal. It was a bright environment, with multiple windows looking out over the water, such a pleasant dining experience. Our food was wonderful, we ordered dishes we have liked at other LaScalla locations, and felt this was the best they have tasted this evening. The seafood is so fresh and well prepared, and the pasta is excellent. Service was pleasant. We look forward to returning to this location frequently.

Perfect for our family-kiddos and dogs. Their outdoor patio is perfect for energetic kids. They staff is the most accommodating I have ever had (on par with Yards). They have the best kids menu-pizza, fries, Mac cheese etc; Grownup menu is great too. I could live off the spicy cauliflower-one of my favorites in the neighborhood since Abbaye closed. Our servers-Nicole and Samantha who helped, are absolutely the best! Ty for always being so great to us!

This was our first time at the Gatehouse. The atmosphere at lunchtime was great: lots of people enjoying themselves. Service was quick and efficient. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Some dishes were unique and definitely worth trying. Old standbys, like fish and chips, were outstanding as well. There are many more things on the menu we want to try. We don’t live in Philly itself but make frequent trips to the city. The Gatehouse will become one of our “go to” places for eating.
