Best Barbecue Restaurants in San Francisco Bay Area

This place is amazing! It was our first time visiting, so we weren’t quite sure what to order, but the servers were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They were quick with refilling our waters, checking in on how everything was, and clearing plates as soon as we were done. We ordered the prime kalbi short rib and the harami skirt steak, and let me tell you—they were absolutely amazing. The food was prepared perfectly and so delicious, and the restaurant was very clean and well-kept. The service and overall experience were wonderful. I’d 100% come back—and most likely will!

Tried Hardwood for restaurant week. Fantastic rib tips! Great beer selection. Relaxed atmosphere. Attentive service. Parking was easier than I expected. We’ll be back!!

Kyser was an amazing waiter! So personable and professional

Delicious food and fun concept with having the chef as the server and cooking our dishes perfectly, but needs a dramatic interior revamp and exhaust fans. Interior is mismatched, sad, and cheap, but again, the food was delicious. Bit of a weird disconnect. Fun to go with foodie friends who can afford to pay premium for yakiniku and don't care about ambiance and smelling like a cookout afterwards, but not a beautiful restaurant for a romantic date.
