- DDavidSan Francisco Bay Area •2 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoObviously a high end destination but this was a tad expensive for what you receive (food wise). You can't beat peering out to the ocean and the staff was nice; just a little disappointed food wise...More infoThe ConservatoryPrice: Expensive• Californian• Half Moon Bay•4.3
- AAdaSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoHonestly I was a little nervous about dining here given the flood of negative reviews I've seen during its opening days. Luckily it looks like they're on track towards working the operational details out as I had a fantastic dining experience here. I came here on Tuesday at 5pm and was greeted by staff and seated quickly. We ordered a la carte and the food and banchans were brought out extremely quick upon ordering (almost too quick as everything came out all at once, including the appetizer. That's the only critique). Given the price point ($20-30 per appetizer/entree), I was extremely impressed by the beautiful presentation of the food, it sure looked like it was prepared by a michelin starred chef. I particularly enjoyed the buckwheat noodle and blue crab cabbage, it was extremely flavorful and creative - they definitely do refreshing and lighter dishes really well! We also had the bulgolgi rice bowl and seafood jiggae, which were good but not particularly special when compared to other traditional korean restaurants. The bulgogi was well marinated but a tad bit too dry. The servers were extremely attentive and checked in with us, giving us water refills every now and then, very excellent service! I also really enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant, it was just a nice place to chill and relax after a chaotic shopping experience. The whole experience felt quite upscale but the price point was decently affordable (by no means cheap but for bay area it's quite bang for buck), I am not exactly sure how they're able to profit from this. I would absolutely return for their buckwheat noodles and look forward to trying the rest of the menu!! I urge you to give them a chance as it looks like they're doing their best to improve the restaurant.More infoPOGU - Daly CityPrice: Expensive• Korean• Daly City•2.6
