   Good food and good wine list with very good service. Go early to avoid the noise. Recommend the frito misto, salads and the pizza, all sized to share.

   The best meal I've had at Cucina SA to date. One of the best meals I've had in Marin over the last decade. A very warm summer night. Greeted warmly by the owner, then by the server. Started with a couple of glasses of really nice Soave. My bride and I split three appetizers. Tuna Tartare - raw tuna chunks and avocado atop a light sausce I couldn't identify and finished with some housemade ranch dressing. Dandy on a warm night! We followed this with a Fritto Misto of shrimp, calamari, onion, and lemon each dipped in an incredibly light batter and quiclly deep fried, served with the ranch dressing on the side. I should have ask for a slice of lemn that's all it needed. We finished with a special arugula topped with toothsome pear and which i took as a very light ricotta cheese and I believe a lemon and olive oil dresing. We finished with something really really nice that sounds terrible - softserve vanilla ice cream with caramel and sea salt. Purrrfect! And the whole menu really was tuned into both the season and moreover the temperature outside. A plus is tht we noticed that they are now open for lunch. I've gotta try this out. Kudos to the whole team - owner, server and the gang if wizards in the back of house. Take a bow folks!

   We dropped in on a Saturday evening for our anniversary. It wasn't too crowded at 7:00 p.m. but filled up while we were there. Parking is pretty easy on San Anselmo Ave at that time, and it was a nice evening for a stroll. Service was quick and attentive throughout the meal. The layout is a little unwieldy, though; when you walk in you just kind of stand in the middle of the aisle and try not to get in anyone's way. The server accidentally backed into me and almost tripped when she was seating us. The food is all-around great. They started with bruschetta, rather than just bread, which was a nice (and tasty) surprise. The Crostini di Burrata was delightful. The wife ordered the gnocchi bava and enjoyed it, and it was a heartier serving than I've seen at other restaurants. I ordered a steak-and-pesto pizza that was one of the specials; it was a good-sized pizza, and I was not disappointed. We also shared a bottle of Dolcetto. They have a fair-sized wine menu, and Dolcetto was on the cheaper side, but still pretty tasty.

   The food was outstanding!! Wait service was great but the bus service lacked in getting more water, etc. Strange set up when you walk in to check in with the hostess. You have to walk thru the restaurant and are standing in the middle of all the diners. A bit hectic. Would highly recommend the restaurant regardless.

    Great neighborhood spot with good pizza plus interesting pastas and seafood dishes. Service is friendly and helpful. We especially like to sit at the space in front of the wood burning oven on a cool night and chat with the pizza chef.
