The new owner went the extra mile when my wife and I asked for a candle on our table. They didn’t have any, but the owner ran to the neighboring store and bought us one!!! Wow! His daughter also did a great job as our waitres- friendly and made a great recommendation for dinner/wine. We are definitely going back!

I come all the time but this was a very bad week. Unfortunately it was while my family was in for Christmas. The artichokes were small and beyond charred . The waitress didn't come over until I requested her. Not as good as it's been.

Don’t make a reservation on Open Table - they are no longer using this system. But you won’t know until you show up and they won’t have a table for you.

What’s going on Crust? Everything just gets worse and worse. Service is terrible, pizza came out without fresh mozzarella and we were told it was there? Local, convenient but worth it? Maybe not anymore

Open table reservation was not registered. They didn’t have a table for us. Said your system doesn’t work. Next time will call instead.

Food is good, but overpriced. We had a pizza, a couple of salads and wine/beer. The wine/beer selection is pretty good. Service is also haphazard. Seems to be a few professional servers backed up by mostly teenagers (so if they forget you ordered more water or extra bread, it's just a hormonal thing right?).

Took about 20 minutes just to get drinks at the bar. Printer (we split 3 ways) printed wrong #. Server was unhappy with us instead of apologizing.

When we got there the hostess told us OpenTable hadn’t been working for the past month and our table wouldn’t be ready… We were accommodating and sat outside, although it was very cold, our waitress was wonderful but we very disappointed that the OpenTable reservation was not ready for us, and the manager never came over to apologize.

We were vacationing in Carlsbad and looking for good dinner spot that was unique. Found Crust on open table and made reservation. It's in a shopping center with a sprouts, but looks inviting. First thing we noticed was the place was packed. It was 7:45 pm and the bar was full and so were most tables. The atmosphere was lively and high energy. You could see the kitchen tossing pizzas, wait staff was hustling and attentive. Pizza crust and marinara was complimentary. We had a 14" pizza and side salads. Food was really tasty! Next time we're in Carlsbad we'll definitely return. Just wish there was a place like this near home in San Dimas.
