   The special touches from the staff like writing “Happy Birthday” with my friend’s name on the placemats really made our experience wonderful

   Sea Bass was not great but everything else was very good. The ravioli 5 stars. The pork ribs delicious. The passion fruit chocolate torte amazing. I guess I would skip Fish dishes here. Also keep to the wine or beer. The cocktails were OK, nothing spectacular.

   $105.00 for a small salad, soup, two pasta dishes and one glass of wine. You could spend a small fortune in this place. Typical San Francisco value restaurant. 5% mandatory fee added to bill. Pasta was OK. Portions were very small. Ambiance and service were good.

   Ate there Friday (Feb 1 - (pizza) and it was very good. So good we came back Feb 3 for dinner/pasta. Spaghetti Siciliana and the Tagliatelle were both bordering on tasteless, (spaghetti was steaming, yet, 1/2 a bite was hot, the other 1/2 cool). The simple cheese flatbread ($24) was so simple it needed red pepper flakes to enable some degree of taste. Have never written a Review such as this, but a highly-regarded Restaurant such as Cotogna missed the mark on this particular evening.

   My favorite restaurant in San Francisco... hands down. Unpretentious, welcoming, unparalleled dishes, attentive service, and a warm and inviting atmosphere are Cotogna’s top ingredients.

   Often visited and always enjoyable although this time ...i found the chicory salad dressing a bit strange between citrus and olive somewhat fighting The beet and cheese “caprese” was stunning and wonderful The single raviolo which is always a favorite had a clearly overcooked egg. It was a late reservation(10:30) so it could have been a slightly tired kitchen. Certainly wont home me back from making it a destination again

    Cotogna is one of the best restaurants in San Francisco!! The pasta is unbeatable and the service is frIendly and professional, never overbearing.
