   I love the history of this restaurant and the ambiance. The food was not that great this visit, though. I ordered the grilled snapper. It was very overdone and although I do not normally complain, I did (it was $42) and the manager said he would take care of it. We were still charged. My sister-in-law ordered a Cuban sandwich, which was very dry and hardly edible. On the positive side, the tapas were excellent and the white chocolate bread pudding was awesome. Overall, I cannot say thiis would be high on my list of places to go back to.

   My husband and I were not expecting such a dining experience! It looked crowded from the outside so I checked Open Table for reservations. They had one within 15 minutes so I booked it. This place is huge and each staff member was super efficient.. The 1905 salad was so fresh and the homemade dressing was delicious. We got the Cuban sandwich with it and split it all with their Mojitos, so good! They had a family special pasta with crab and shrimp that was very good, we brought most of it home to eat tomorrow . The crusty bread and butter was outstanding, warm and tasty. We want to go back and try their tapas and their wines, a lot to try here. We were too full but had to split the Keylime pie thinking we would bring some home but my husband finished it!

   As always a great lunch for out of town guests 1905 Salad is the best ever. La Segunda cuban bread can't be beat. Black bean, spanish bean and gazpacho soups were all excellent. This 120 year old Ybor City/Tampa gem delivered again.

   Our waiter Nick was fantastic. Knowledgeable, polite, attentive and engaging. The food, as always, never disappoints!

   This visit was an experience! The restaurant seemed to be busier than busy and a 40 min wait on reservations was a result. That being said, the Food made up for the inconvenience of waiting. The odd table nxt to the bathroom & busing stations it seemed. In the bar room, the atmosphere was nice. Again, the Food was a savior

   Unfortunately we waited almost 1 hour past our reservation time for a table with poor communication on how long the wait would be. We were told 10 minutes- the table was being cleaned ! The food was good. Service was excellent but the wait took away from the experience.
