   We went to City Social for my 30th birthday and it was the best experience. The staff were so friendly and the service was impeccable. I was surprised by a birthday dessert which made the day truly special. The food was out of this world. Highly highly recommend and we will return.

   Food is superb and come in with excellent presentation. It is a shame that the dining area was a bit too dark for us to appreciate food presentation. On top of that, I feel they need a few more staff as it took us a long time to find someone to serve us.

   We went for the tasting menu that was really excellent. We have been to a number of very good gastronomic restaurant in France and I would tend to rank this one very high in the list. The Halibut was particularly amazing, never experienced such a complex mix a flavour in a such homogeneous way. Bravo to the chef for this one that is definitely one of the best dish we have ever tasted!! Excellent service and good attention from the staff (just enough, not too much). And thanks for the complementary birthday cake for my wife !! Would definitely recommend.

   This was my first time dining at City Social and I must say I was very disappointed. A friend recommended me to dine here as it’s one of her favourite places to eat when she’s in London, however I didn’t have a great experience. The service was ridiculously slow. The restaurant was only half full so it could've been that they were short staffed because I don’t understand why it took so long for us to be brought the menu. The lemon sole (main) was flavourless however the lobster tortellini (starter) was very nice.

   What a beautiful restaurant. The staff were attentive excellent customer service. The bar area is amazing with wonderful views. The food was outstanding.

    Great view, let down by the waiting staff. Lets say from the off, the food was absolutely fantastic, the flavours were sublime and the pick of the menu, the cote de boeuf, was ridiculously tasty, filling and extremely generously provided sides given it’s a top end eatery. Only one huge blip and this comes in the service side. Also, if you can afford a bottle of wine that costs more that your dinner, then you’ll be spoilt for choice if you can understand the bewildering array of wines. The sommelier was very knowledgeable on the cellar stock and only too happy to suggest a mortgageable bottle from old or new world vineyards. I would love to try the Petrus at only £8k.. WOW!! But alas.. we had a most reasonable red from NZ at only a mere £80.. The service is where this establishment lets itself down, do they downgrade their service and Michelin standards on the weekend? I think not. First off, they got my starter wrong, my wife’s starter had the ceremony of pouring the sauce at the table. But when pointed out that my starter was not what I ordered, they questioned us like we were likely in the wrong, not the other way around. The starters were taken away and I received the correct order, but my wife received her starter again, as in the same one, not a fresh starter and now barely warm. Poor. When each course was over and sumptuously enjoyed, whilst in a quiet conversation, the waiter unannounced, clears the table by reaching across my face to clear the dishes and cutting us off midsentence, really poor! Happened twice!! Lastly, the tables were left with crumbs while contemplating the dessert menu, not happened at other Michelin starred restaurants we have sampled. Not great at all. Don’t think we could recommend this branch of Jason Atherton’s empire to our friends and family, the food was fantastic, but a sour taste left by note left by not his cooking. Not what you most remember when a good triple figure bill arrives.
