   The restaurant was very empty when we arrived but we still weren't offered a window table. I thought it was because it would get busier but it didn't really. We ordered a cocktail to start plus a bottle of wine and food. Unfortunately the food came first. Sweet cocktail and savoury food is not a good mix for me. The wine didn't come for another maybe 15 mins. A dish arrived that we didn't order. It was taken away. Then 10 mins later it was brought back to our table again by a different waitress. All the tapas we ordered were delicious, including the one we didn't order!

   Owing to circumstances we had to contact the restaurant three times to change the party number from three to seven and then to five, all handled pleasantly by booking staff.. We ate early early, and though the restaurant was empty when we arrived it quickly filled up, giving it a pleasant buzz. Service was efficient , though sufficient time elapsed to convince that everything was freshly prepared. There was a good range of tapas dishes on the menu, catering well for the vegetarians as well as the carnivores. All dishes were delicious, and when we ordered a sharing dessert for three people there was ample for all five of us. A very good experience which I shall definitely repeat.

   What a brilliant little find this place is. Great food and a friendly attentive staff. Will definitely be coming back again.

   Great food and wine at this consistently good Spanish restaurant. The chicken livers in Pedro Jimenez was exceptional, dark and rich, and the lamb salad perfectly pink and juicy. The tapas list is long and comprehensive and the rioja we drank was delicious. A relaxed, understated atmosphere adds to the experience. Go and enjoy!

   I booked this for a birthday lunch and was not disappointed. The two members of staff were welcoming and helpful, helping us find our way through the long list of tapas, and giving us a couple of samples from the wine carafe before we chose. We made an eclectic choice, including tongue in garlic and tarragon sauce; a delightfully seasonal salad of broad beans, peas, artichokes and asparagus; mushroom croquettes; salsas variadas (flatbread with three dips). All washed down with a carafe of chardonnay (expensive but worth it) plus a glass of sweet red wine with the crema catalana. A great place for lunch, celebratory or otherwise.

   Having lived in Spain and just visited Madrid we can vouch for the authenticity of the Spanish menu. Excellent selection of good value wine by the glass by 50cc Carafe and by bottles The Albarino is particularly good value for such quality wine.

   Had a great pre theatre tapas meal here before a show at peacock Theatre. Highly recommended.

   The food let down what could be a great dining experience. We ordered the monkfish, mussels and prawn paella for 2 which is not cheap at nearly £35 for two. It was overcooked and left a bitter, burnt aftertaste on our mouths. The mussels had dried out to the point that they looked like they had been freeze dried, the prawns were mushy and it was all very salty. We could not finish the paella. The ambience and the wine was great but I shall not be going back in a hurry.

    This was our second visit and it was just as great as the first one. We had a great waiter and the food was lovely. For a nice chatty dinner with friends this is a great spot.
