   Didn't get seated until more than 30 minutes past our reservation. Waitress didn't tell us there were specials. We had to ask for bread plates. She never offered refills on our drinks. Fried fish was inedible due to so many bones. Seafood "pie" was unseasoned, steamed meat with a ring of puff pastry on top, and then smothered with a sauce that reeked of raw sherry. Salad was full of stems. Worst $200 I ever spent. Will be letting the hotel concierge to not recommend this restaurant.

   We had a nice meal and would go back again to try some other items. The service was great. We loved our nonalcoholic punch bowl. We really enjoyed the pea soup. The strip steak was a little tough. The seafood pie was amazing! The potato dumplings were also quite good. The gentleman really enjoyed the rum tart. it is pricey, but we knew that going in. I would recommend for a unique dining experience.

   The experience, atmosphere and service were wonderful. The food was very good. Since the menu was so limited it was difficult to find options since my favorites were discontinued. Only one soup and not a fan of pea soup. And basically one option for each meat type. Very good but disappointing compared with prior visits. It seems that the prices are rising while the options are falling. Definitely worth a visit though

   Our waitress was the best. Dining experience was full of good fun and great interaction…. The story telling was awesome! Loved our “over sized napkin”! Definitely coming again..just made reservations for our next visit!

   Very neat experience. Food was pretty good. I got the fish and it needed more flavor/seasoning, but overall not disappointing. My family loved that it was a historic tavern.

   Can't say enough how great our dining experience was. We made a reservation and our table was ready on arrival. Our waiter was amazing. The sweet potato muffins, pea soup and steak were terrific. It's great that they have a children's menu. They also had a harp player. I would definitely go again.

   Enjoyable colonial atmosphere. The food was delicious, especially the sweet potato muffins. We were lucky to have had a very attentive and knowledgeable server.

    We had a wonderful dinner here after a long, hot, and rewarding day exploring Colonial Williamsburg. Our server noticed how hot we were and kept our water glasses full, as we rehydrated! She was friendly and helpful and made no indication that she was concerned that we were a table of 5 children and only 1 adult! All the food, from appetizers to desserts, and drinks were amazing; we had to pace ourselves to be able to have room for everything we ordered! We loved the ambiance with the musician playing the Irish harp and the history lesson provided by our server about Christiana Campbell. In all, we highly recommend experiencing this restaurant! Maybe you’ll even get to sit where George Washington sat!!
