   My husband & i really enjoyed dining at Christchurch Harbour Hotel to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. The food was delicious; we particularly loved the slow cooked pork & prawn starter; my husband commented that it was the most tender, melt in your mouth pork he'd ever tasted! I was particularly impressed by the level of service- they went the extra mile to accomodate my need for a gluten free diet & I was so excited to be able to have GF fish & chips! We would definitely recommend this restaurant :)

   Was a bit disappointed as I have been and stayed at Christchurch harbour before, my friend and I took another friend out for afternoon tea as she was retiring. We were kept waiting quite some Time before anyone seated us then our drinks took ages together with our afternoon tea. No offers of refills on drinks and thought there could have been more savoury sandwiches and less cake

   Took my granny and parents for a mini summer holiday day by the sea. Granny walks with 2 stocks now but loves the sea so I wanted to take her somewhere comfortable with an amazing view and lunch at the hotel on the upper deck was perfect. Enough luxury and beautiful view to make it feel special but relaxed enough that we could sit in the gardens for a few hours afterwards without feeling rushed to leave. There were lots of steps to get into the hotel and down to the lower part of the terrace which weren't ideal but with a little patience we managed it and it was worth the effort for the lovely surroundings. Food was delicious and the lunchtime menu for £15.99 or person was good value. Drinks were a little more expensive but generous servings of wine by the glass and the staff were very attentive, polite and helpful. All in all it was a perfect relaxing afternoon

   Poor service , over priced mediocre food. The seemed to specialise in employing waiters who are not great at their jobs. A good grasp of spoken English tends to make things easier. It seems odd that all the other good restaurants Captains Club , Noisy Lobster etc employ locals but this place does not

   We had an excellent table position looking out over Christchurch Harbour. For starters we both had the Chunky Fish Soup. This was very good with plenty of fish chunks and sea food. For Mains, I had the Decks Mixed Fish Grill which was very tasty and very well presented. My wife had the Quail pie which was enjoyed. The two courses were plenty for a Sunday Lunch. One minor point, we did feel we were being rushed a little at the end of the meal.

   Diabolical service. Stayed as residents two nights, booked table for 19:30 hrs, did not sit down and order by 21:00 hrs while left waiting in the bar area. Missed sunset and sat outside and ate in the dark. No terrace lighting. Hotel requires a manager. Too many walkin's were not controlled and took precedence over hotel guests. Chaos and chaotic. Just as the meal was finished they were already laying breakfast tables, turned all the lights up full and playing loud euro-pop. Bar stools were stacked away around us at 10:50 hrs. Would recommend this as a place to drop in, enjoy the sunset and have a drink on the terrace, then go on to another restaurant. Would not recommend to book table and stay at the hotel expecting to do that, or, relax and enjoy any quality ambiance.

   Booked at the Upper Deck after visitng the Jetty for Sunday lunch and noticed the fantastic sun terrace they have. I decided to book for my partners Birthday as I knew the weather would be nice and asked for a table outside. When arriving at the restaurant they told us the table had been ready but was broken so could not be seated out which was a real shame as we coudl see the sun from inside and people enjoying their meal. I feel more could of been done to accomodate a table outside. Staff were very friendly and service was good thou.

    Food very good, beautiful view across the harbour, good ambience. Management poor, staff requires education and service refinement. Issues with the hotel room which made the stay overall, poor value for money
