   We took our friends here for a night out and it was amazing! The drinks and food were 10/10. We will go here anytime we are in DC!

   We visited Carmine’s this past weekend with high hopes, but it turned into one of the most frustrating dining experiences I can remember. We were a table of six, including a child and a guest with a gluten-free dietary need. Our server didn’t write anything down (despite multiple unique orders), and the results were exactly what you’d expect: •Multiple pastas arrived wrong. •Gluten-free guest was never informed their dish wasn’t available as a lunch option — we only found out when entrees arrived. •Only one of two appetizers was delivered (late), and the other never came — we chose not to push the issue just to keep the meal moving. •Entrees took over an hour to arrive, and when they did, two of us were given the wrong pasta, plus full family-sized portions despite ordering lunch sizes. •No check-ins, no updates, and it took 15 minutes to get the check after declining dessert. The food itself was fine — nothing memorable — but the service was chaotic and incredibly slow at every step. This wasn’t just a "busy restaurant" issue. It was basic service failures: poor order management, zero communication, and no sense of urgency or care. We won’t be returning. Carmine’s feels like it’s surviving on brand name alone at this point. DC has plenty of better options if you want a real hospitality experience.

   Amazing location and food. Our service was impeccable. The server was not only friendly and answered our questions but he was funny, took several pictures for us and actually joined in on our jokes. Loved our experience overall. Can’t wait to go back.

   Not only was our food delicious but Cindy our waitress was phenomenal! Family sized servings so we had alot of food leftover. Cindy packed everything up nicely. It is very noisy but we would go back.

   Great experience. The food was great, our server was excellent and the hostess really cared about our experience which is rare these days!

   Oh My Word!! Our food, including the rack of lamb special was cooked to perfection with the perfect touch of savory spices. There were 4 of us and we had enough leftovers for another full meal. Service was superb! So thankful we could have great conversation around our table as the noise level wasn’t bad at all. This long time establishment is one that can always be depended on to be top notch all across the board! Great job Carmine’s.
