Carmine's is a family style restaurant offering exceptional value to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. Restaurateur Artie Cutler crafted Carmine's with a singular vision; bringing his guests abundant portions and making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast.

Platters of made to order pasta, decadent seafood or meat entrees, and of course homemade desserts are all staples at Carmine's, meant for sharing among friends and family. When great food and wine are supported by friendly and knowledgeable service, the results are magic - we want every day to feel like a Sunday afternoon at Grandma's!

We are open for Indoor & Outdoor Dining, Pick-up, Delivery, Catering and Private Parties.

Our signature dishes, including Carmine’s famous Meatballs, Chicken Parmigiana, Veal Marsala, and Shrimp Scampi, will be delivered right to your door. Carmine's Catering offers one-stop shopping. Our full-service Catering Division offers a professional staff, complete set-up and service, rentals, linens, décor, and venue selection. Catering packages or customized menus available.
Private party facilities
Carmine's second floor offers our New Private space The Sinatra Room and semi-private dining in the Jimmy Durante space; with a mahogany bar, coat check and handicap access. The room seats up to 230 guests. Our plush theatrical drapes are perfect for semi-private dining for smaller groups.

Carmine's is an institution... a big one. It is NOT a "New York" restaurant. It is for: tourists, visitors from the suburbs and the outer-est boroughs who are going to a show, and big parties that include children. For these and other challenging dinners, the place is perfect. It can seat 1000 people. The service is prompt and friendly and often has a sense of humor, even at the busiest times... which are really busy. They will sing "happy birthday" at the drop of a hint. The food, Italo-American standards, is always good for what it is. The dishes are served family-style, which means they feed 4-5. The bolognese is fine; the linguine and white clam sauce does not quite have enough clams, but is garlicky and ok; the sauteed spinach is great, as is the broccoli. It is what your nonna would have served you if she had only been a fairly good cook... and you had a nonna. The noise level at busy times is monumental. In short, the place is an experience. Take your out of town relatives with kids.

Food was outstanding, service also impeccable…everyone working (Maitre d’, waitstaff, bus staff) were there to provide a hospitable experience. Definitely worth the wait!

For sure, make a reservation. Then, still be ready to wait a bit. I suspect the place is always mobbed and the wait was a bit chaotic (cramped, not managed incredibly well), but once you are seated: it's all smooth and mechanic. Waiter was very personable and of course, the portions are enormous. I was surprised how quickly the food came out --- I'd love to tour the kitchen to see how all that volume gets pumped out! This place is best for parties of four to six, I would say. All in all, this is a NYC experience to have at least once. Lots of energy!
