   Have looked forward to Canoe for years. This was a subpar experience - food was not even close to good, service obnoxious. Won’t be back.

   The atmosphere at Canoe is exceptional and the service is always outstanding. After lunch we went and sat by the rive and enjoyed the afternoon. Can’t be beat.

   We had a great anniversary dinner. Food and service was perfect. Sat outside and enjoyed the weather. Finished with a glass of wine by the river.

   The atmosphere and service were fantastic! I especially loved the riverside bar, which we enjoyed while we waited for our table to be ready.

   The grounds are GORGEOUS! However, I would highly recommend going for an appetizer only. Food is incredibly overpriced and highly seasoned. Seemed to us that they focus too much on eclectic recipes and seem to forget what flavors actually taste good together. Also, the waitress made a fuss about asking if we had any allergies. I have a bell pepper allergy and when my soup came it had whipped feta (I believe) that included bell pepper. My husband ate it instead.

   This was my second visit to Canoe and my grandniece's first (there were just the 2 of us; we'd planned to bring her daughter, who unfortunately was ill and couldn't join us). As with my first visit, everything was excellent. Our server, Kat, was spot-on with recommendations. The food was delicious (I had the smoked salmon appetizer and the scallops, while my grandniece had soup and a chicken dish), the cocktails were delightful (I had the Canoe Manhattan, while she had the Don't Call Me Shirley), and the prices were not excessive for such an upscale establishment. This was a belated birthday celebration for the both of us, and the staff really made it special for us. The views of the gardens and the river were spectacular, and my grandniece and I enjoyed wandering the grounds after dinner. Only one minor inconvenience with paying: The restaurant is not able to split a tip between a gift card and a credit card, so I wound up taking the simplest option (putting the entire tip on the credit card), which left me with a small amount of money (less than $10) remaining on my gift card. Also, the compulsory valet parking (which has, sadly, proliferated in so many places in recent years) is a bit ridiculous, as they park you right in their own lot; it's nominally "complimentary", but we tip the valets anyway, as they need to make a living, too. All-in-all, though, a solid 5-star establishment across the board! We look forward to returning!

   Wonderful experience, as always. The deserts were like something we had never experienced...just WOW! Love this beautiful place!
