   Delicious meal for a great value. Ricky was our waiter and he was excellent. My only gripe is that you took steak tartare off of the menu! We travel from afar for that dish from your menu. Won’t stop us from returning, but that was certainly one of the draws.

   This place is a gem! Friendly service, live music, ROSE, delicious savory entrees, wowza on the bananas foster french toast with bacon to share for a swet bite! And the vanilla bean porfitterol... a sweet surprise. Thank you for a lovely brunch!

   Juliane did a great job - her service was appreciated (especially by my 84-year-old mother). The pate appetizer was wonderful and the freshly baked baguettes were outstanding. Thank you for a lovely mother daughter granddaughter lunch.

   It certainly feels like the chef at Cafe Touche has changed - many of my old favorites were definitely different, and not in a good way. The French Onion soup (which should be a headliner at this restaurant) was more of a tomato-flavored base, which was really strange. And my go-to, the Steak Frites entre, was sub par. Ordered it medium rare and it was medium. Frites were overcooked. But most importantly, the red wine reduction was just... how to describe... like someone who didn't really know how to make it made it. I really hope that things get back to the usual high standards of this restaurant as it's one of my and my son's faves.

   I’ve been coming to Café Touche for over five years now, and it continues to be one of my absolute favorite spots in Chicago. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, with that perfect touch of Parisian flair that makes you feel like you’ve escaped to France for a little while. The French cuisine is always exceptional - authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From their classic French onion soup to the perfectly cooked duck and decadent desserts, every meal here is a treat. And let’s not forget the drinks - whether it’s a glass of wine or one of their craft cocktails, everything is made with care and quality in mind. The service is consistently welcoming and professional, and it’s clear the staff truly cares about creating a great experience for their guests. After so many years, Café Touche still feels special every time I visit. Highly recommended!

   Wonderful night celebrating our cousin’s birthday! The escargots I had were magnifique, as was the trout meunière. We all loved our meals and each of us had a different delicious dessert. The winner was the bread pudding…but all were great! The service could not have been better…our waiter even looked up a recipe for a drink we ordered…and made it for us! The prices aren’t cheap…but the portions and quality…more than make up for it. Great place!
