   There's a reason Boone Tavern is always high on our list! The food and service was fantastic and consistent to all our previous visits. Thank you all for yet another great experience!

   Extremely disappointed. Went for Easter Sunday. Reservations were for 2pm. Menu was sandwiches or brunch. Who wants eggs at 2pm? Was told the “chef” would have 2 Easter specials which turned out to be breakfast. Was humiliated that I offered my guest a sandwich for Easter dinner. Cole slaw was disgusting. Chicken in a nest was disgusting. Will never go back.

   Good experience overall. Food and service was good. Drove a long way to visit. Not sure I would do that again but would stop if driving through.

   Knowing beforehand that the dining room was being renovated and refreshed, we weren't surprised to be in a different room than normal. Unfortunately, the smaller space amplified the noise from another table where no one had an indoor voice. Which is beyond the control of the restaurant, but still frustrating. We specifically came for the chicken flakes in a birds nest in case they were dropped from the new upcoming menu. The spoon bread wasn't as good as our previous visits, but was not bad by any means. The chicken flakes were great, but the green beans and cranberry relish were the absolute standouts. My mom swapped grits for the mashed potatoes - our server even commented on how good that looked (just an idea!).

   Our second stay here. Staff was prompt and friendly. Even during renovation, with a wedding going on. Rooms comfortable, easy parking. Love the traditional, historic look. Our family, has now been coming to the Boone Tavern for 3 generations. Keep up the great work!! Only disappointment was some menu items weren't available due to renovation, and we could not open up the window in our room. These are understandable though. Thanks again!

   The food was great but service was horrible set at table 15 minutes before anyone come finally brought us water after 25 minutes we ordered said the spoon bread was coming got our food before the spoon bread coke machine was down and they didn't have regular coke in a can my wife waited 20 minutes for a refill of sweat tea never once saw a adult all kids working

   We always enjoy our visit to Boone Tavern. It’s an hour there and an hour back. We enjoy the spoon bread. There are a number of little shops that you can visit after your meal.

   The spoon bread was wonderful. The black bean veggie burger was very good. And the burgoo is a new favorite!! We topped off lunch with the bourbon cake and it was light and scrumptious!

    Everything was EXCELLENT! From the front desk person to the waiter!!! Incredibly cordial employees all around! The food was some of the best I’ve ever had! Highly suggest this ‘tavern’!
