   The staff went above and beyond. They were friendly, fast, attentive and made sure we had a great experience. They gave me this thoughtful postcard with a happy birthday message and everyone’s signature. It was such a nice touch. I’ll definitely be back.

   A beautiful dinner but I was surprised to see many empty tables as when I tried to book my original preferred time, open table said they were not available. The restaurant was less than 50 % full. This has made me question using open table.

   Hi Jo-Ann, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. To ease your mind, the reason there probably would not have been available times is that we set a maximum amount of diners per 15 minute interval with staffing, so that our guests do not wait long periods of time. We need to space out dining so the kitchen and bar do not receive a full restaurant worth of bills all at once. Larger parties in our private rooms also sway this as you may not see these guests, but they are dining too. We also have 3 general seatings between 5-6 and 7-8, and 9-10 to ensure we are able accomodate as many as possible each night so everyone can enjoy their experience!    Sat on the outdoor patio and really enjoyed it! Ambiance was nice, and heaters kept everyone warm even tho it was a little chilly outside. My partner order the lamb and I got the clam linguine special. All the dishes were flavorful and well executed. Definitely recommend the fennel salad and the roasted beets as well, beets were especially delicious! Service was also fantastic. Our server was very professional and knowledgeable of the menu items. Definitely would recommend to anyone visiting the Calgary area!

   Love the ambiance and overall rustic yet luxurious feel of the dining room. We have yet to experience the famous patio but will have to come again in the summer. Service was superb, food and wine delicious. The music was actually background (for a change) and we could talk without raising our voices. This is uncommon in bars and restaurants these days and we both thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. Table by the old fireplace was perfect!!

   The food and the service were excellent. The only mishap was that they have two doors coming from the back lot. They also have two reservation computers. The net result was they "Could Not" find my reservation. Fortunately the server behind the bar where we were initially seated sorted out the puzzle and went and checked the other computer and got us to the correct table. Staff perhaps needs to aware of this possibility. Other than that everything was excellent!!

   Hi Gord, Thank you so much for your review. We know it can sometimes be confusing at times with two separate restaurants side by side. One restaurant is our pizzas restaurant (Posto) and it unfortunately does have it's own computer and Open Table system as it is a separate entity, but is attached to Bonterra, our Italian restaurant :) We are so happy it was figured out and you could enjoy your dining experience! I have passed your feedback along to Nathan our bartender for getting you to the right restaurant!    The food was fantastic. Service a little slow and although many tables were empty we were very close to the next table and talking was intrusive.

    We missed Chef Mike Preston—turns out it was his night off—but his team didn’t skip a beat! Massive shoutout to the crew at Bonterra for a great night. The food, wine, service, and room were all 10/10. Special thanks to our server, Shane. His attention to detail and easy, fun conversation made the evening even better. All around, a fantastic experience!
