   Had the Blue Dog burger - awesome fries! Burger was huge and my wife's croque madame was also quite delicious, lots of ham. It seems the truffle mac and cheese is no longer on the menu? Which is a pity

   Stayed in Midtown West and picked the Blue Dog for breakfast - it was great! Had the feel of a quaint New England Inn and it was terrific. Try the avocado benedict, so good - the wait staff was great including the young man who was the "bartender" - so pleasant and friendly. Would try the place for lunch sometime, also, but breakfast was a hit!

   We lice in this neighborhood and choose Blue Dog for many reasons. It is centrally located (C, E) on the corner, 1, N, R, Q nearby. If I want to meet someone this is a very convenient casual restaurant. There is a communal table, and individual tables. The food is very good.

   Delicious sandwiches and salads. Service was friendly and attentive. Nice atmosphere. We would definitely return here.

   Mediocre food, mediocre service. Won't go back and won't recommend. We made a reservation for brunch. Upon arrival we were not even asked if we made one, just rushed towards a communal table where we were so far apart it was hard to talk. We were moved to a table where there was little space for the waiters to walk by and I was pushed every time a staff member walked to the bar. I paid 19 dollars for a plain toasted bagel with some salmon that was hiding under a wilted salad. I could have prepared it myself, and I'm no cook. I also asked for sugar for my coffee at the beginning of my meal--the food arrived and the coffee had gone cold and I still hadn't gotten it. My waiter confessed he forgot about me and the couple sitting next to me gave me their sugar. Do yourself a favor--don't waste your money here.

   Food was great! A nice gem of a restaurant. But very small and cozy with one big communal table taking up most of the space.

   Happy Hour runs 5:30 to 8:30 and offers half price appetizers and drinks. I recommend the octopus and tuna. The cocktails are delicious and inventive. Let them know you are heading to a Broadway show and they'll make sure you are taken care of.
