Start planning your restaurant itineraries for 2024, because the World’s 50 Best Restaurants just dropped its hotly coveted annual list. Barcelona’s Disfrutar, a three-MICHELIN-Starred Mediterranean seafood stunner, nabbed the top honors from last year’s winner Central. In fact, Spain has four other restaurants in the top 50—more than any other country—further cementing its position as one of the top fine-dining destinations in the world.
Over in America, the two-MICHELIN-Starred Korean tasting-menu restaurant Atomix in New York once again claimed top honors as The Best Restaurant in North America. California’s acclaimed three-MICHELIN-Starred sensation SingleThread, at 46, is the only other restaurant in the US that made the top 50 this year.
A few newcomers joined the list this year, too, including Hong Kong’s innovative Chinese tasting-menu spot Wing, Seoul’s contemporary Korean restaurant Mingles, and Cape Town’s beloved French-meets-Asian restaurant La Colombe, also the winner of The Best Restaurant in Africa.
Each year, the World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards lead to a surge in tourism and reservations, with many restaurants getting booked up months in advance. Here’s your chance to join in on the action because we have the full top 50 list below, as well as the restaurants that placed on the 51-100 list.
