Philly home cooks, rejoice: there’s a new cookbook festival in town. “Cookbooks & Convos” is an ode to “The Book and The Cook” festival that called the city home from 1984 to 2007, but this time, female voices are at the forefront.
The new festival is the brainchild of Sisterly Love Collective, a group of women food entrepreneurs and restaurateurs across the Philadelphia region led by seasoned hospitality pros Ellen Yin (High Street Hospitality Group), Jennifer Carroll (Carroll Couture Cuisine), Jill Weber (Sojourn Philly), Sofia Deleon (El Merkury Avery) and Avery Jannelli (High Street Hospitality Group).
