Picture being surrounded by friends and family as you dig into plate after plate of shrimp cocktail, octopus salad, baked cod, and more extravagant seafood dishes—that, in a nutshell, is the lively Italian American Christmas Eve tradition of the Feast of the Seven Fishes.
Expect much of the same this year at Piatti, which for the first-time ever is doing a slightly elevated version of the meal. From December 21 to 24, the beloved Bay Area-founded mini-chain is hosting a four-course feast that will take you all over Italy.
Though the menus vary from location to location, highlights of some of the family-style meals (starting from $115 per person with an optional $65 per person beverage pairing) include octopus carpaccio with shaved fennel, Dungeness crab bucatini, and the Tuscan fish soup cacciucco.
