   A little disappointed in the food quality- bread was burnt, risotto bland the best part of the meal was the side vegetable of asparagus and the service.

   We’ve been to SG many times and had another wonderful experience. First time to be seated in the garden near the fountain and that even made our time there even better. We had a very professional server although we didn’t catch his name. The bread service is over the top delicious especially with butter. My guest enjoyed her branzino while I loved the ravioli with tomato sauce. Perfectly al dente. The sautéed greens were ok but I would have preferred them to be all spinach.

   The food and service were very good . What? bothered me as a local. We paid $35 for corkage plus we had cocktails which were good.

   This was a reservation 4 our 8th Wedding Anniversary! So……. The menu had 2B perfect….Service attentive and the atmosphere special! Check….check and check ! It seems my wife would merry me all over again for effort! LOL! Great choice for the occasion on my part ! LOL!

   Never had better carpaccio and the risotto with duck confit was as good as it gets.

   I visited Bistro Don Giovanni today for the first time. We made a reservation for 11:30 am lunch (opening) and requested a shaded patio seat near the fountain. Upon arrival we were greeted immediately, and seated shortly thereafter. We did not partake in any alcohol on this visit, but intend to on future visits. Immediately after being seated we were offered iced water and were given a few moments to review the menu. We ordered the fried olive and also the fritto misto appetizer- both wonderfully delicious and perfectly cooked. For entrees we ordered the ravioli with half lemon half red sauces, and spaghetti & clam dishes. They were perfection and perfect serving sizes!! For dessert, we ordered the tiramisu & crème brûlée. They were a perfect end to our meal. I really can’t wait to visit again. Perhaps next time for a dinner date!

   My husband and I loved our experience at this beautiful restaurant! The food, ambience, and service was outstanding! Very tranquil setting and loved our outdoor seating by the vineyards.

    We drove an hour and a half from Burlingame to eat at Bistro Don Giovanni Napa. The best food and the ambiance is wonderful. Give it a try and you wont regret it.
