   Initially we were turned away as it was all booked up, but when we looked at OpenTable we found an open booking 10min after. Surely the staff could have bothered checking the system and seeing that there was a spot free? When we were ordering we ordered new potatoes - 1 min later we changed our mind and ordered chips (while waiter still at the table taking our drinks order). The waiter said initially we cannot change order, but then said he will see what he can do. It was frustrating that changing order while waiter at the table was difficult. We asked about portion size and the answer was unclear. We had seafood and the food was greasy and tasteless (which is a shame because seafood is amazing if prepared well). There was crab claws in the food and we did not receive any utensils for it, had to ask. Great location but overall really poor value for price, would not go there again. The staff seem careless and possibly overworked.

   The atmosphere and the food was really good ,the service was of very good quality ,ot is our second time there as a group from a government department and we had a great time.

   We arrived and were missing a cocktail menu which we wanted he took our food order and we asked for tap water whilst we waited for the menu which he didn’t want to give us. He then returned with the menu by the time he came back to take our drink order our food had arrived and no sign of water. My partner was missing a fork so we asked for one and he didn’t bring it he then came back to ask if our food was ok and I asked again for the fork and he was like oh yeah I’ll bring it over in a bit. Which meant my partner couldn’t eat her food. And then our cocktails arrived. We then got the fork and finished our food which at this point the water we asked for arrived. A real shame because I’ve had such good experiences here but our server definitely ruined our experience this time.

   Had a fantastic time. Just a little note, crab claw and prawn meat didn’t seem very fresh. Bit disappointed as it out 1st return since covid. Meal came without the claw crackers and apron like it did before, had to ask for crackers half way through meal. The meat seemed liked it had been frozen due to texture. Still will be returning in June with more friends so hope it’s better.

   Upon checking in for reservation we was 20 minutes early lady asked us to wait by the bar and I would receive a text message, 20 minutes later when it was reservation time and 9 people were given seats we went back to the entrance/reservation desk and said hello we’ve not received a message, same employee asked what time we confirmed, she said your late, we said you asked us to sit by the bar, thankfully a colleague interrupted and said sorry about that please come with me which was a great turn around. The gentleman who served us was fantastic from beginning to end, very polite, helpful, didn’t seem like anything was a bother.

   The views from the restaurant were far better than the actual food. Won't be coming back again as I was feeling heavy and bloated for the rest of the day and I didn't even finish the meal as it wasn't very good. The house baked beans tasted awful so I barely touched those. You are far better off with the tinned ones! The house coleslaw wasn't good either. Overall, not a great food experience. Would not recommend.

    Service not as good as last time we visited. Took a long time to order. Something I requested never arrived. Disappointed this time. May try again
