   Our visit was a mix of both positive and negative. I began writing a detailed breakdown of those highlights and came to a typing limit way before being finished so I had to revise and keep it brief and generic. There were good and bad points in every aspect of the evening, the hostess, the server, the chef, and the ambiance. Without more space, I cannot explain all the things that happened, but it was not the entertaining and fun evening we expected. It has been a while since our last Benihana visit so maybe some things have drastically changed since then, but if so, these changes are not for the positive. In summary, the food was really good, the service had good and bad, the atmosphere was usually loud, and the flow of dinner was very much out of normal order. Based on this visit, it may be a while before we return.

   We have been to other restaurants many times, but this was the most horrible experience we have ever had. The service was very slow and the food was of poor quality. My wife is allergic to gluten and milk, and even though she had instructed the attendant, they served her food with gluten. It was absurd. The soy sauce was out of date. The worst experience we have ever had.

   It was horrible. The chef tried to hand my husband the knife and said you think you can do it better. Also, my son asked for a volcano and the chef told him tomorrow. He never did it. He burnt my chicken and my husbands surf & turf. The food was way over seasoned and took forever. No show just a horrible experience. The managers were jokes. One of them said to me after I packed up our food after my 2 kids & husband refused to come back to the table, well I guess you will enjoy your food later. This is in reference in me saying I’m not paying full price. Don’t go. We have been eating at this location for 12 years. Will never be back!

   Waited an hour and a half to eat; only to have the table not working and everyone had to move to a different seating.

   Always get good food but sometimes the show of cooking is just so-so. Louis did a great job cooking (rated 9 out of 10) only 7 for the show but he did try very hard to please us. Ann was always nearby to fill up our glasses and to see if we needed anything.

   I have dined in many Benihana restaurants around the world over the years. But this was the first time for my wife, daughter and grandson and I was hoping they would love the same fun and food that I have had. Unfortunately the food let it all down….. far too much butter and oil so very greasy and way way way too much salt. The same lack of taste was also applicable to the mocktails which were far too heavy in sugar syrup. Sorry guys - need to do way better to live up to other establishments around the world that carry the same name.

   The table was over crowded. The waiter even apologized for the table size. The receptionist was rude! We thought she called our name to be seated and she said accused us of trying to be seated before being called. My husband’s entree was supposed to come with mushrooms and he never got them. The steak was good and cook was pleasant. But won’t be back till they stop cramming people in like sardines.

    Unfortunately I believe that the restaurant was short staffed the night we visited. We had a reservation for 7:00 but weren’t seated until 7:45. We then didn’t get chef until 9:00. We were a table of 10 and 5 were children so the waiting was difficult. We didn’t finish dinner until about 10:30 which really wasn’t the plan. The manger did his best and when the chef did arrive at our table it was a good experience it was just all the waiting detracted from the overall experience as we had over tried kids by the end of the meal.
