   Simply the best Benihana anywhere. My husband and I love coming to this particular location when we are in town.

   The food is always consistent. Our chef was amazing. Our server was definitely not trying to accommodate the happy hour promotion for election day so I had to walk over to the bar separately as a manager, and the waiter could not figure out a solution.

   Even after we showed up on time, we still needed to wait for another 35 minutes. Our server barely showed up and did not take away the soup/salad bowls promptly so we all needed to squeeze in to eat on a already crowded table. We already notified the server that it was my sister’s birthday but the ice cream with candle was given to another girl on the same table who did not go there to celebrate birthday. No water refilled during meal unless we asked. Benihana used to have high standards in providing a good time for the customers with satisfaction. I don’t think I’ll come back any time soon because of disappointment.

   You got to Benihana for dinner and a show. I’ve been many many times for special occasions, this time was lack luster. Obviously you’ll see the same show/cooking tricks every time but not this time, our chef didn’t do any of them, nothing, each time I thought he was about to, he didn’t. I’m an adult so it’s not going to be the end of the world for me as long as my food is good. But I did feel bad for the other people at our table, they had 2 kids who had never been there so they really got robbed of the show. At the end when he was cleaning the grill their parents asked if he could at least do the onion trick and light on fire and make them smoke so he did. Kids were so impressed, imagine if they got the whole thing. The server was not good, she never asked anyone if they wanted another drink! So they could have made even more money since we were drinking alcohol. She also never refilled waters, someone at the table had to ask a worker passing by for water. She didn’t deserve the tip, but i know it goes to others as well. Food was good but that’s really the only good thing I can say about this visit.

   A bit disappointing compared to previous visits. The chef was a bit slow and unsure, the fried rice was a bit too al dente, the lobster tail in my combo was smaller than usual, and the quality of the mushrooms was only moderate, especially compared to the table across from us.
