   I had a reservation at 8:30 ended up waiting 40 minutes for nothing. We left because we kept on getting skipped and many parties after us were getting seated before, keep in mind I checked in at 8:25 and was sitting in the parking because we were a bit early. I literally called another restaurant in Santana row at 9:08 and was able to get in at 9:30. Very poor service from this notable restaurant.

   It is great as usual.., but the one thing I struggle with this place is, that even if you have a reservation, we still end up waiting over 40 minutes to sit down. This has happened twice, once during New Years… we had an appointment for 9pm and we didn’t sit down to eat until 11 pm. We didn’t intend on spending new years there but we did as it was over 12 am. But I figured that was understandable as New Years gets kind of busy so we tried again last night…. We had a reservation for 8:15 and didn’t get seating until 9pm. We still had to wait for 40 minutes… which I was kind of disappointed. Out of curiosity, I checked open table and they were still offering reservations within 15 minutes which with the amount of people they had, no way they could have sat them at their reservation time. I still like this place but just don’t expect to be seated at your appointment time and if you need to leave by a certain time, I suggest you go at least an hour earlier. Except if it’s a holiday, then good luck and have no plans afterwards.

   Hour past reservation time, staff seemed wildly underprepared for a busy night. Pretty sure the fire marshal would of shut down the restaurant due to being over capacity

   We made a reservation at 7:00 pm and we arrive on time but they gave us a table at 8:00 we was waiting for 1 hr ,I don’t know they allow us to make reservations if they are full Bad service

   Chef was not enthusiastic. He didn’t seem like he wanted to make the experience enjoyable for the kids neither. It wasn’t entertaining during the cooking. Food was so salty.

   If you're looking for a GREAT chef who makes you laugh and you laugh so hard you almost forget you're there to eat then ASK FOR MIKE. He blew us away. We had a fantastic time and we enjoyed it immensely!!!!

   I came to celebrate my birthday with friends. Our server took about 15 min to take our drink order after we were seated. When I ordered I gave my birthday cert. The chef didn’t do very many tricks which was disappointing bc the show is part of the appeal. The portions were considerably smaller than I’m used to. Our server did bare minimum, difficult to get drinks refilled. When it came time to pay her card reader didn’t work. She disappeared with our card for 15 min. The other group at our table got up and left. We eventually went to the front to figure out what was going on. The other party was there and had to pay in cash bc she still couldn’t process cards. She finally got it to run and I asked if she had applied my birthday discount and that is when she told me that she had applied it to the other party. I told her she needed to fix it. Another 10 minutes goes by. She comes back and tells me she doesn’t know what to do and the manager won’t help her so I asked to speak to the manager because it’s not my fault she screwed up. I go and tell her calmly what happened and the manager was like oh here I’ll just give you $30 no problem. This was my first time at this location and it’s probably my last.

   Service was below standard, chef was great, server was not good. Table remained dirty the entire meal, empty dishes sat for 30+ minutes. Yelling across the restaurant right next to our table, refills were slow at best, not the experience I am used to at Benihana.

   We had a great family dinner celebrating my wife and I wedding anniversary along with my mother’s birthday. Food and service was excellent Jorge our server and our chef David were terrific! Manager even came over to make sure the meal & experience was great👍
