   This was my second time here and I shall return again. Excellent pastas and meat dishes cooked in wine. Northern Italian soul food. Small space, excellent service, uplifting ambiance (high noise level).

   excellent food! it was early and relatively quiet when we were there so quite a pleasant experience. however, the tables are extremely close together so had it been full, i'm sure it would have been quite noisy. as it was, i heard every word of our neighbor's conversation as they were barely three feet from us.

   Delicious fresh pasta and sauces. The flavors transport me to Italy for their authenticity and richness. I enjoy the staff and the wine recommendations were fantastic and a great value. This was my 7th visit and again, amazing.

   The food is outstanding. Salads are fresh and full of flavor (pears, nuts, buratta cheese), the charcuterie tray is wonderful: copa, salami, prosciutto, cheese, toasts, olives. The pastas are exceptional--great noodles and exceptional sauces. And the wines are wonderful.

   Small room, but we lucked out and got about as quiet a corner as they have. Service was excellent, just enough attention and always a smile. Good menu, and everything we had was excellent. The tartare was gently seasoned and needed salt, but otherwise a lovely and delicious presentation. The spinach flan was unusual, although I thought the summer truffles they added, while looking great, had no flavor. Brasato of flat iron was rich and lovely, the broccoli unctuous with béchamel, and mildly spicy with a Calabrian chili (whole) that I enjoyed eating. Panna cotta was creamy, rich, perfect. And the wine my husband picked went well with it all. My one problem? I don't think I'd come back often, since the menu doesn't change much. So a great place for an occasional meal, once you've tried the small menu. Which is probably OK since getting a reservation is not always easy.

   This restaurant has high recommendations. There are some good things about it and some not so good. Service is terrific, Food is average, Pastas are fresh which is just ok, Tasted too much like a paste. I prefer the hard dry pastas. The sauces were just average - overwhelmed the pastas - I prefer less drenching of the pasta. The Chianti by the glass was below average for $12.50 a glass. Bring your own bottle and have them cork it for you. The noise level is uncomfortable. The space is cramped as it is a small tiny restaurant. Our tab with antipasti with tip and one glass of wine was $75.00. If you like fresh pasta this is the place for you.
