   Came to celebrate my birthday, Beautiful space with a classy ambiance, the service was immaculate, our server said he’d been there 20 years and I could tell. The bread? So so good. Hamachi Crudo was a bit lifeless and the ponzu? Sauce was a bit thick for me. The wagyu sliders were juicy and delicious. The chicken entree was soooo unique in flavor I really enjoyed it, but unfortunately I was super disappointed in my filet, especially for a steakhouse. The char was nice but overall way too salty, and I asked for medium, it was borderline rare, I couldn’t even finish it. But the server brought a yummy birthday pastry and that kinda made up for it. Drinks were a bit watery but we got a Mule which wasn’t on the menu so maybe just not something they make a lot.

   So our waiter was terrible 😢. Probably over a 3hr dinner waiting on our waiter numerous times he was overwhelmed and tables that sat down before us got served there entrys before we even got our appetizer. Food was amazing service was a zero

   This was our 25th anniversary dinner, one of many anniversaries we have had at Barclay Prime. The dinner was outstanding, as always and Ed, our server was great. Our only complaint is the up charge for blue cheese stuffed olives and cocktail onions for our martinis….really? It’s a bit insulting from a restaurant of this caliber. Is it something new as I’ve never had that during past visits. It’s a bit tacky.

   I originally made the reservation for 2, however I had to change it to 1 due to a cancelation. I was very comfortable and still made very welcome even flying solo. I enjoyed the food and service very much.

   Excellent dinner at Barclay Prime. The scallops with the caviar were amazing. We always get the famous cheesesteak. We will definitely be back!

   Our Server, Alexander was excellent! He explained everything to us and how to order and gave us great suggestions. The olive Japanese Wagyu was the best steak I have ever had along with all the other items we tried. Atmosphere was great it felt cozy and fancy. If we can we will definitely come again!

   We have dined here multiple times, however this last experience could not have been any worse. Our American wagyu was dry for over cooked above requested , and au gratin had a sour almost spoiled taste to it, asparagus undercooked. I am not sure when they went down hill, but extremely disappointed to say the least.

   I would recommend changing the music Needs a diff vibe- such a great restaurant ( one of our faves)

    We go here for big events because it's our favorite steak house in the city. Everything is phenomenal!!!
