   Barbaresco is a neighborhood gem. Its always consistent. You know always is going to be good service, good wine , excelent food, and impecable service. Pastas are all good, al dente, perfect cook, and fish excelent Quality of freshness and preparation. Yesterday we had a really good baked salt branzino, so delicious. Its a really good place.

   This is one of our favorite UES restaurants! Consistently very good food and excellent service. I loved the sauce on the spaghetti (had bits of fresh basil in it) accompanying my chicken parmesan special. And my spouse ordered a mutual favorite--spinach ravioli in a walnut cream sauce--a delicate dish to die for! We are regulars here when we are in town.

   I love Barbaresco. It’s a nice cozy neighborhood spot where the food is always fresh and delicious. The service is great and the waiters are kind & respectful. You can’t go wrong at this restaurant.

   Never disappoints! We make sure to visit Barbaresco every year when we're in town because the food is always excellent and the staff are attentive and wonderful.

   This is my second time here and I loved it again. The service was exquisite. The food divine. The restaurant was crowded and felt upbeat but it wasn’t noisy so my guest and I could easily chat. We split the pear/cheese appetizer, I had the salmon and my guest had the ravioli. Nothing was left on our plates.

   I love coming here and will continue to bring all of our friends and family. It’s the perfect restaurant that reminds you what Italian food is all about: sharing good food and good moments with family! Carlo and the rest of the staff always make us feel at home and are always ready to make our night happier. Always happy to come back to this staple of the upper east side.

   This isn’t authalic Italian food. This is American Italian wedding food at best. Pasta is over cooked, the swordfish was at best a Trader Joe’s frozen one that was slapped on the grill and overcooked. The meat ragu had crème. This is a regular American Italian interpretation of Italian food. If you think this is what is served in Italian , you will be mistaken

    Overall good. Food and service were great. The tables are small and crowded. A table for four should have been for two. There were several diners who were exceptionally loud and annoying, which was unfortunate. You could say they were rowdy. I’d give them another try.
