   I remember going to the original Balthazar in New York in the 1990s and it seemed revolutionary. Paris comes to NYC. The franchise has settled now and it has travelled and travelled well. There is a nice prix fixe menu which suited us well and the staff are attentive and keep things moving along without rushing you. It's not cheap but your are paying, in part, to be in a Grande Brasserie (or simulacrum thereof) and the setting is glorious.

   We were meeting friends we hadn’t seen for a couple of years - arrived 20 minutes early to have a drink at the bar only to be told we couldn’t. Very noisy, service was very quick to the point of rushing us. Food mediocre with cold chips served with main meal. As soon as we had finished our main course we were told we had to vacate the table in 15 minutes. Overpriced for what we had and poor choice (by us) for a catch-up with old friends.

   Really enjoyed the environment, the food and the service was good. Fantastic location. My only gripe is the limited time allowed for the table.

   Beware the cocktails are not freshly made - all pre made - not what you expect for £15 Food nice as usual When your table is not ready and they seat you at the bar - I would expect your drinks taken to the table for you… nope we had to carry them over ourselves- not good enough.. Busy Vibe as always

   Lovely greeting when we entered and shown to table straight away. Service was spot on with waiter who knew exactly what he was doing. Food delicious as always. Already looking forward to coming back!!

   Great location in Covent Garden. Ambience was nice. Food was delicious and serverice was ffantastic. Our server was friendly, attentive and professional. Will definitely visit again.

   Food very good. Cocktails were very overpriced for how much you actually got in the glass. Ordered a bramble, it was filled to the brim with ice and took 3 sips to drink. Service was friendly, but our table was in the middle of 2 walk ways and was constantly being bumped into by staff, with no acknowledgment on their part.
