Anton and Michel is now open INDOORS and OUTDOORS at the COURT of the FOUNTAINS.
LUNCH: 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM / DINNER: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
Reservations are highly recommended.

Since 1980, Anton and Michel has consistently maintained an award-winning reputation for true excellence in the art of fine dining. A complete interior remodel was recently completed features handset stonework throughout the restaurant. The floor to ceiling windows offer breathtaking views of the Court of the Fountains. Zagat Survey calls it: Carmel’s long-standing paean to graciousness in dining out. Along with updated and contemporary changes to the menus, ultimate table side service flambé desserts remain. As quoted in the Wine Spectator, Anton and Michel is “probably the best dining experience in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea”.

                                                        Everything was perfect about the meal. My wife said it was the best fish she ever had, then she tried mine and it was better. Highly recommend the table side bananas foster. Great way to end our 25th anniversary!

                                                        During our travels, we coincidentally celebrated my son's 18th birthday at this restaurant. From the moment we were greeted until the end of our meal, the staff made him feel truly special—it turned out to be an unforgettable coming-of-age celebration for him. We were absolutely charmed by the restaurant's delightful ambiance and exquisite cuisine. I couldn't recommend this place more highly!

                                                        It’s kind of a mixed meal. The two soups, French onion soup & lobster bisque were outstanding. One entree, rack of lamb was fabulous, the other, the filet mignon, while my wife ordered it medium or pink came to our table blood red. Even after they took the filet back to the kitchen it came back too rare and the potatoes that came with it were grossly undercooked. On the plus side, at their suggestion, they took the filet off the bill. We’ve been going here for over 40 years, and will chock this visit as an anomaly, and will try them again.

                                                        Lunch outside on the patio (with accompanying pet) was delightful. The service was perfect and the food was excellent. The Nicosia salad was of particular note. The new owners have maintained the quality of this restaurant.
