   Tasting menu here is amazing! except for one thing, but will start with good. The first few items were amazing intricate one bites. So many elements, great textures and amazing flavors! I'm a pretty big foodie now, so this was all great! First time here and on the menu there was legit wagyu beef with certificates shown above the kitchen and all. Paid extra per oz. but it was worth it for our special occasion. It was sooo melt in your mouth with full flavor and cooked right! We really appreciated too that the kitchen was out in the open for all to see (we sat at table, not counter). Also really appreciated the multicultural/diverse-ness of the chefs, very pleasant to see. Wait staff was amazing! everything was never missed, low water, replaced towels when you left for washroom, explained all the dishes, took plates away right away when finished, etc. Now the one down side that almost ruined dinner. One main dish that was mid-way/early in the tasting menu had an extremely unexpected element to it. Saw a green pepper/okra looking vegetable cut up into about 3/4 inch chunks (very sizeable) and thought nothing of it. Popped a spoon full of the stew with the green vegetable into our mouths (first bite of dish), then BOOOM!!! MOUTH ON FIRE!!!! my wife had trouble getting rid of the heat for 15-20minutes! she can take some spice, but not this insanity suicide wing level hot. There was no warning from the chef/wait staff of the extremely hot pepper in the dish. And there were several chunks of it in the stew so it was meant to be eaten... my wife's tongue felt like it was burnt cause it was so spicy (not because it was temp hot). We were so afraid it killed our palatte for the rest of the evening. Being polite Canadians we didn't say anything and no one else in the restaurant complained so thought we shouldn't cause a stir (retrospect, we should have said something). Eventually the burning went away and we were able to enjoy the rest of the meal, thankfully...

   Wow. What a great experience. The food could not have been better. Service matched the food. It’s not a place you go everyday but I think it’s a must try.

   I wasn’t aware duration for dinner will take over 3 hours in length. Service slow and no one cared to offer for bavarage past 2 hours of our stay.

   The decor, table set up and music were not as I expected. Food was OK. Expensive to what you get.

   Plan to spend about 2 ½ hours lingering over your meal, as this is an extensive tasting menu. Great use of local ingredients. Very creative, each individual dish was excellent. But I personally found that SO many different flavors over the course of the evening to be a bit too rich for my palette.

   Blew away all expectations. A true culinary adventure....fresh, thoughtful,creative, delectable meal. Not cheap, but worth every penny.

   It's a 3.5- 4 hour meal, so plan accordingly! The food is the most creative I've ever had, and everything except the dessert was fantastic. It is very expensive.

    Everyone was very nice and worked to make it an enjoyable experience for us. However, prior to dining I mentioned my friend was vegan (which she’s elected). My friend made an accommodation to dine at this restaurant because she knows I like to eat at restaurants like this. The restaurant called to confirm our reservation and asked if she was truly vegan because they’ve made accommodations in the past only to find out they weren’t vegan/vegetarian. How would they know outside of serving food that wasn’t vegan? We said no dairy, which would include eggs. What happened after we sat did not go well. The restaurant does not have a lot of space to walk and the servers were constantly walking past us which is very distracting when trying to have a conversation. For such a high end restaurant this is very disappointing. Dishes were sent out that were not vegan for my friend which was very upsetting to her as well as causing her not to feel well throughout the night as well as the next day. When courses were described, like the foie gras for her, she about had a heart attack. I’m baffled how a restaurant of this caliber could not understand what vegan means. Again, the staff was very nice but bringing out Carmel at the end of the night really did not bode well. Unfortunately, because of this, my experience was also ruined because my friend was very unhappy, especially spending close to $200 per person (with a tip). I’m not one to complain on such a public forum, but I thinks it’s important for diners with food restrictions to understand what our experience was. I also feel that because the restaurant doesn’t have a place to make/send comments, that I’d like them to understand what our experience was like and the disappointment we experienced. This definitely will impact my future choices in terms of deciding whether to spend this kind of money on an experience I don’t feel was worth it.
