   Hotel restaurants can be pretty dull. 8 Block is an attractive room in the open atrium with lots of natural lights. The tables are comfortable and the noise level isn't bad at all. Keep in mind this is a buffet, you get up and help yourself though the waitstaff brings drinks. I liked the breakfast choices very much.

   Experience was profoundly “OK”. Plenty of OK food on the buffet. Didn’t get a check until I tracked down the server. Seemingly par for the course for the Hyatt Regency New Orleans, which is overpriced for an OK hotel with indifferent attention to our needs.

   I made a reservation through open table for breakfast at 10:45 am, and when I showed up (on time) they said they were not serving breakfast anymore and that they were closed until 11 for lunch. They should not let me make the reservation then because I actually left my class earlier to make it mi my reservation 😡

   From the made to order omelettes to the delicious chicken sausages and creamy cheesy grits, I was unapologetically happy. I attended the Essence Music Festival, which was also AWESOME.

   My family and I ate breakfast there every morning during our stay at the Hyatt Regency while visiting NOLA. Great breakfast buffet and many delicious options. Service was fantastic! The food was delicious, especially their breakfast potatoes mixed with onions and peppers. Highly recommend.

   I was disappointed that there were no lunch items offered for an 11:30 am reservation on a Sunday. Food was mediocre at best.

   This place is situated in the Hyatt on the 3rd level, we met some friends who were staying there for brunch and I have to say it was very good. Lots of things to select from at the buffet from fresh fruit to charcuterie and all the regular items you’d see on a breakfast buffet all very tasty. It was surprisingly reasonable as well as far as the price
