Recently had dinner here on a weekday. The restaurant was very crowded, and the noise level increased significantly during the time I was there. Service was good, but our food was served too quickly. I had just two or three bites of my salad before our entrees were brought to the table. This resulted in a small dining table covered in multiple plates. It was very difficult to eat and enjoy the food we ordered. The items we ordered reflected care with the presentation, and everything was flavorful. There were a few families with young children, and some parents allowed their children to behave inappropriately. One toddler stood up on a booth and began "playing" with a metal lantern (continually opening the lantern and pulling out the flameless candle). This was being done on a ledge of a patiition wall that separated our dining tables. This definitely impacted the ambiance and our overall experience, and we decided against ordering dessert despite several solid options on the menu. Restaurant decor is tasteful and modern, and location is on a picturesque street in a charming neighborhood. Recommend this place, but be sure to tell server to stagger the appetizers and entrees so that you are not struggling with a table covered with multiple plates of food at once.

75 Chestnut is one of our favorite restaurants in Boston. The ambience is like an English pub. The food is consistently good, as is the service. Jeff, the bartender, is very attentive, friendly, and always has nice wine offerings. We will definitely be returning to 75 Chestnut soon. Thanks for a great evening!

We had the burrata salad, lobster pasta, steak salad, crème brûlée trio and almond cake. All were excellent and huge portions. We had two non-alcohol drinks - Zero Proof and Spring Break. Both drinks were delicious and refreshing. We will definitely dine here again!

Beautiful ambience, generous portions, and everything was delicious. I had the clam chowder for an appetizer and the small plate instead of the large plate of lobster pasta (big portion for the small and I get stuffed easily). Hubby and brother had the organic salmon with a delectable strawberry yogurt sauce. Very good, healthy protein packed meal that these Boston Marathoners needed before the 129th Boston Marathon. This is our new favorite Boston restaurant.

Been wanting to go here for a while. Got an open table high top reservation for a Saturday night. Had a beautiful night to walk to the restaurant. Was treated warmly and seated promptly. Space was very friendly and felt like a true neighborhood restaurant. Service was very professional. Waitress told us she has worked for parent company for 23 years. We originally were going to split two appetizer and one entree. After the two appetizers we didn't have enough room left to split an entree and went straight to dessert. Our first appetizer was the mussels and they were a 10 out of 10! Second appetizer was the crab cakes. The presentation was excellent, but the crab cakes were lacking. The crab cakes had a lot of filler. We ended our meal with crème brûlée, which was a little different, but excellent. We look forward to returning and having the mussels again , and trying an entree!
