The beautifully restored historic mansion offers intimate dining in 8 elegantly appointed rooms, as well as a beautiful 2-tiered riverside terrace for alfresco dining. 529 serves exclusively Prime Beef, the best available in Canada, as well as fresh fish and seafood. The restaurant is proud to offer Manitoba’s highest rated wine list, Wine Spectator Magazine’s Best of Award of Excellence since 2004. Please note: 529 Wellington is a two-storied building without an elevator. Please indicate if there are any mobility issues for any diners in the party.

    Truly personal experience with our waiter, Levi offering great service and advice. The ambiance had us both imagining what it might have been like to enjoy meals when the original owners resided there. The food was spot on to order and mouth-watering.

    529 was a wonderful venue for my friend and I to celebrate our 70th Birthdays! It was a perfect day to enjoy lunch on their lovely Terrace. We both had the lunch special , and it was delicious. Our awesome Server was very attentive and did not rush us. Looking forward to going back next month for another Special Occassion!

    Not good experience. Yesterday we came to have supper. We needed a high chair for my baby. It takes more than half an hour for the host to tell us there’s no high chair only boost without seat belt on it. As to the servant, he talked to the other guests, introduced the history and many stuffs (for like 20 minutes I’m not so sure) while ignoring us who were waiting him to take our order. Won’t come here anymore.

    Higher quality food and service than most places. You are well looked after and they try to accommodate all your needs. It is on the pricier side but perfect for special occasions or just because! Patio is beautiful.

    Went to 529 for lunch with out of town friends, food, service & ambience worth the extra money. Were fortunate to be able to sit on patio. Staff allowed us to "catch up" & chatter in between ordering, etc. Will return for sure
