Yabba Island Grill Ratings and Reviews
Very Enjoyable Evening..
One of the most delicious dinners this season. The best salmon and delicious bread and rolls. Great deal we dined on the early bird special.Wonderful,dinner.. We will be back..
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Yabba's. The food was excellent as always. Our waiter, Jonathan, was superb. He made our evening out with his pleasant personality and attentive service. I would definitely recommend Yabba's to anyone!

Great place for kids or no kids! Gorgeous southern country charm with very attentive & ready-to-please servers. Great food.
Great for an evening relaxing in heart of Naples
Good service, good timing, affable waiter who had some good stories to tell. Surf and turf perfectly presented. Well done!

We love that you can pick different sauces for the fish and their other meats! Great prices and the service was excellent.
Lovely outdoor dining
Our service was outstanding. Our waiter gave us an extra glass of wine on the house. Our food was good but not outstanding. This was our first visit and we will return. We thought the outdoor dining was lovely!
My favorite place that we visited in Naples!
We had an amazing experience at Yabba! Gary was our server and he provided some of the best service we've ever had! Their early dining deal is awesome and the food was delicious. I've already recommended Yabba to some of our friends that are visiting Naples!

Nice place to take guests for dinner. We sat in the outdoor patio area.
Over Complicated food
Had the experience of visiting Yabbas Island grill recently and I can say that given the price point for the menu items and quality you would be better off spending a little more and get a great dining experience as opposes to a mediocre one. Appetizers and dessert were the best choices. Tasty, well presented, good pricing on the shushi, wontons and Key Lime pie. Main courses were a disappointment. Swordfish Capri and the Mahi Mahi dishes were overcomplicated, and oversized. Everything just heaped on top of each other. No points for presentation. Sauces overpowered the dish leaving the so called "star" of the dish "the fish" lost in a swimming pool of sauce and vegetable. Simply this dish, reduce the portioning to be balanced and it might be something worth eating.
A sad disappointment
Service slow. Entrees over cooked by a good margin. 42.00 for black grouper that was almost inedible. Chicken entree the same. Not impressed by the scantily dressed ladies at the entrance either. Really disappointed.
Fish and chips awesome.server was great, my stir fry great.
Fries were frozen, steak looked and tasted like a hockey puck. Really!? Very limited and too expensive a wine list - only 2 sauvignon blancs? Looks like no effort other than making money has been applied.
Good deal on Early Dining
We chose to take advantage of the 'Early Dining' special which required that you get the order to the kitchen by 5:30. No sweat with a 5PM arrival. I think there are a limited number of reservations accepted at this time, for profit reasons, but I enjoyed the experience. Good food, regular portions, exceptionally accommodating and charming waitress Densela(?memory failing me). Half the price of meals we bought on other nights (at other establishments). Sure the wine wasn't the best but it was just fine. Sure it's a limited menu. What do you want for the bargain price? We scooted out and got to the theater on time at Gulfshore Playhouse for an incredible performance by the best actors I've seen in a while. Great night on all accounts.
Have been to Yabba's many times, but not in the last few years. Service was poor...took over 30 minutes to get drink order. Orders were mixed up and food was average. Will not go back and certainly won't recommend Yabba's to others.

It was ok:). We were excited to have stone crab and it was just so-so. We had great service, and the chef was polite and tried to accommodate us with options. The steaks looked really good. The corn/crab chowder was excellent.

We just moved here and we're trying lots of restaurants, this one ranks right at the top. Prices for the typically overpriced 5th Street location were very reasonable as well.
Exceptional Spot on 5th Avenue

Great food at a good price. There were 6 of us and we all love our dinners.
Best restaurant in Naples
Were in Naples, from UK, for a week and this was by far the best meal experience we had. We have 2 children aged 14 and 10 but this place, whilst exclusive and nice, would make families of al ages feel at home as it does not have any of the stuffiness that many of the competitors have. Fabulous food (special mention for the corn bread) and wonderful service!
We tried to like you..but we won't be back
We have been researching places to dine on Fifth Avenue for a future visit from out of town friends. Thought we'd give Yabba's a try since they had remodeled and we hadn't been there in a few years, also it is close to the Sugden Theater. Long story short...the food was not good, the a/c was insufficient and we spent a lot of money. We apologized to our companions for subjecting them to our "test" and left feeling guilty they had spent so much money for a sub par experience.
Our reservation time was 6:30. We were not seated until 7:00 even though walk-ins with the same number of people were seated first. We requested outside and got inside. Most amazing thing of the night?...the waiter took or bread basket away without asking if we were finished stating that 'we would fill up on bread and not eat our dinners.' This from an early twenty-something to four middle aged women. Nice!
Yabba Dabba Dousy
We were very excited to try Yabba's since they recently rolled out a new menu. Unfortunately we will not be going back. We were going to celebrate and anniversary and we ended up not staying for the celebration since we left as soon as dinner was over. Our waiter was short with us and appeared very busy. I ordered the recommended fish - most expensive on the menu (black grouper) and was very disappointed in my meal. The fish was overcooked, dry and lacked any taste - not to mention that my first bite had a bone in it. When I expressed my concerns to our waiter, he said I'd have to talk to the manager. With a similar attitude, the manager seemed very put off when I expressed my concerns. I asked if a sauce or something could be provided and his response that sauces cost $2. Only after our exacerbation did he relent and offer a sauce. When the bone was mentioned, his retort was that they hand prepare their fish and its no laser cut. Really? I guess for $40, my expectations for some flavor and not having to spit out my first bite were too high. On one positive note, my friend did enjoy the veal meatloaf. Definitely not going back :-(

Last time we went a few yes ago it was a lively Caribbean-feel place. Brightly colored with fun food. We were very disappointed this time. All has changed. Now dark wood and royal blue decor. The food was cold. My daughters filet came burned twice. Waiter was inexperienced and no manners. Disappointed that we chose this place with so many other good options.
Last week in Naples
Nice evening spent at Yabba. Pluses...........food was good, nice presentation, reasonably priced. Minuses.....wine prices were above average, headed toward high. That was surprising for what I view as a casual themed place. Ambience? Semi-formal dining room fronting the steeet didn't seem to fit "island grill" theme of name, nor did "oldies music". Server was good and attentive. In general, when figuring two of the more lower priced bottles of wine on the list for three people the bill was above average for what was received.
Very disappointed. The new menu left a lot to be desired. Had a hard time finding something to order. Settled on the Thai Lobster. That was a joke - totally tasteless. The small lobster was soft. I had asked for no chilis, the waiter wrote down no chilis - got 8 in the dish. What was the expediter doing - smoking weed? We have not been here in a while, but were excited to try the "new" Yabba's. This place needs a total make over again. I'll say the decor was very good, and our waiter was attentive. Will not be back for years.

Food & atmosphere good. Slow service by our waiter. Will try 1 more time.
We have tried Yabba for the past 20 years and for the most part had good experiences. Over the past several years, however, we have been disappointed by OK service but food was good and it always seemed to be ok for kids. This past week after making reservation a month in advance we were greeted by the hostess at 6:30 to a half full restaurant that they were running behind. Since we were on time my response was you may watch my 2 year old grandson while we wait for you to figure things out. The manager seated us right away since he was listening to what was going on. Bad option since our server was overloaded. Our family vote is to move on since there are so many better options in Naples!

It was very hot and humid in there. Over 80 degrees. The host was rude. And it took 45 minutes before we got anything more than water or an order taken
Being with family
I think everyone thought the atmosphere was fun. The sushi was great, my husband said the meat loaf was good, but just too much. My shrimp was way over cooked.
Location AND good food!
We were a little hesitant to try this since the menu was so extensive-how could everything be good?? We were pleasantly surprised- our waiter was a real people person- and even though he had just started there, he was very happy to make sure we were happy. The food was very good- Oysters-pork chops-steak-salmon, all delicious. Cooked to perfection and not smothered with gloppy sauces. The salmon was especially delicious. Looking forward to a repeat visit! * Had to add, the hostess was very polite - I had to call to push our reservation out an hour-very accommodating. Nice night!
lovely as always!
service was friendly and perfectly timed, food amazing!!! we do miss the bright tropical colors of the decor though...lime and turquoise was different and whimsical 😊
