Wolfgang Puck's Spago in the Four Seasons Resort Maui Ratings and Reviews
Wolfgang Puck's Spago let us down
Overpriced and very average food, definitely not worth it . The waiter was bullish and rushing us. He asked us what we would liked to drink as soon as we sat down and when I mentioned wine he asked us which kind before showing us the wine list. He gave us very little time to choose wine and our food. He brought the appetizers and I was on my last bite when he pulled the plate away from me. (Danny's restaurants has more class). The assistant server gave us one small piece of bread and I had to beg to get another one. The entree was OK but the presentation was very plain and side dishes were jam in a rice a bowl. We had white wine and the waiter kept it in a ice bucket away from us. At the end of the meal the waiter brought us the bill and I had the feeling we still had some wine left (at $65.00 a bottle we want every drop). I reached out for the bottle and sure enough there was a 1/4 left... We felt the waiter tried to scam us. Finally the ambiance was non-existent and the place was very noisy. Not a place for an expensive or romantic dinner. We talked to other guests staying at our hotel and they had similar bad experience. ... Wolfgang Puck PLEASE do a quality control on this place before you loose your reputation.
Great spot, ok food
Very nice spot, excellent service, not sure it lives up to the hype. Food was definitely good but not wow

We had the Thai seafood curry and the pork chop as a suggestion from our waiter. It was a great recommendation and some of the best food we've ever had. I cannot say enough nice things about this place. Everyone was courteous and went out of their way to make our special night one to remember. This place is a must when visiting Maui. (If you can, ask for Gilbert, he's awesome!)

Great food and ambience. The pan roasted chicken is flattened and roasted, very crispy skin. delicious. The sea food curry is delightful. Not sure if the flavoring is distinctive, but certainly very tasty. The spring roll appetizer is very good and probably nothing like you've had before. The chocolate souffle is to die for. All in all, did not disappoint. A gorgeous red sunset in Maui did not hurt either.
Perfect as always. Love the lamb!
Perfect as always. Love the lamb!
It seems weird to call a place this expensive good value but they deliver the goods. Great service and food and something I was not expecting a terrific view and ambiance. I didn't see a bad seat in the restaurant and we happened to be there at sunset. The only negative was dealing with the pretentious 4 seasons clientele... I would recommend without hesitation if you are OK with $200 for a dinner for two.
My wife and I dine out regularly and visited Wolfgang Puck's when we were in Maui. This was our first time there and I have to say the entire experience was outstanding. I do not say "Outstanding" often and this place deserves it. One of our most memorable meals. Thank you to the entire staff for making our visit an amazing experience. I will definitely be back when we visit Maui again.
The server was polite and well meaning, but kitchen logistics were a mess. The entrees appeared BEFORE the appetizers and when they were taken back to the kitchen they were evidently kept warm for 30 minutes and reappeared dried out and tasteless. Then the server attempted to serve another side dish that we did not order (well after the entrees were consumed) and the item remained on the bill until I protested. I suspect this kind of service is a rarity at this establishment (I've been to several of Puck's establishments in LA and have always been satisfied), but for these prices I expected "Four Season's Quality." The entrees should have been remade from scratch, not ruined due to a restaurant timing error.

My husband and I had our wedding reception in their private dining room in 2010. Every time we come back to the island we have a special date night. Spago always takes good care of us and makes us feel just as special as we did at our wedding reception! Bonus is the food is always amazing! Thank you Spago Maui for always taking special care of us!

Food was amazing and so was the ambiance. Our waitress was lackluster and rushed us through our meal which was unenjoyable.
My husband and I had dinner here and we both agreed it was the best meal we had all week and worth every penny!!!! Our waiter, Weston, was superb (thank you, Weston!) and each course was simply divine, especially our dessert! Wished there was a Spago's near us but this will give us just another reason to come back to Maui!!!
Food and service was excellent. I had the ahi tuna and my husband had the pork chop, which he said was the best pork chop he ever had. Cocktails were excellent. Would return and highly recommend.
Great food in lovely location
Location is great with scenic view. Food is great, especially those appetizers that are famous (sashimi inside cones -- first item on the appetizer list -- can't recall the name). Worth driving from Lahaina or Wailuku for this great dinner!

Nothing like eating a $70 steak in the rain! Beautiful view and lovely meal but there was nothing to protect us from the sudden rain! Ridiculous that they don't have a way to shelter patrons!

Terrible server. Rushed us they every course. Ruined the dinner with his attitude
We visited Spago twice while on vacation in Maui. First time we went - the service was outstanding. We had a table outside, overlooking the hotel grounds and could see the ocean. The food was excellent as well. Second time we went - we sat indoors. While the service and food were still excellent, it would've been worthwhile to wait to sit outside. Sitting inside isn't as great, as the views and tables outdoors are better.
Beautiful ambiance and awesome service!
Beautiful ambiance and awesome service!
We dined 3 times during our 10 days in Maui. The first two experiences were excellent, food, service, wine etc. The third time was disappointing. Both of our fish courses were disappointing. The fish was bone dry for both. I was unable to eat all but the very middle section and even that needed water to swallow. My scallops consisted of less than one whole scallop and it was not even whole but instead was in 4 or more small pieces. My asparagus were overcooked to mush and the Kaiserschmaren was way undercooked. My server of course asked and I did express my disappointment. My food was removed from the bill. My husband declined comment. Our server was excellent and had asked the staff if it might be possible to make a dish I had on a prior night - and to substitute bananas (I am allergic). I almost got the impression perhaps the kitchen was unhappy with the request? In all years prior we have never been disappointed. Hoping this was just a one time unfortunate occurrence.
We ate at Spago our last night in Maui. We loved it. Our waiter and his team were first class. They were on top of everything and made us feel special. Started with the ahi tuna appetizer, which was phenomenal. My husband and I both loved our entrees as well. Great views of the ocean and beautiful resort. Would definitely go back!

We have dined at Spago before and had an excellent meal. Unfortunately while celebrating our anniversary this time the service fell far from expectations. No water refills, no bread, plates not cleared for 15 min after completion. Not what I would expect from such a prominent restaurant, especially associated with Four Seasons.

We thought this dining experience was terrific! The location is so special! Lots of restaurants on Maui say they have an ocean view but few have this incredible view; just a great evening in this beautiful place. Come and enjoy! Expensive but you get what you pay for!

Pricey but more worth it than some restaurants in the area- big portions and very tasty. My table had the seafood risotto, ginger salmon and beets salad....amazing, all of it.

Food was presented beautifully, excellent prpepartion, great service however the music was so,loud that we could not hear the others speak at our table after asking for,it to,be turned down This was a special night that he ncluded a birthday celebration and the meeting of family from many different parts of the mainland - so,conversations n was important that was ruined by the music
We sat for 40 minutes at our table without service. When the waiter came, the wrong drinks were delivered. We left without eating. When one makes a reservation at a place like Spago, they should expect a much higher level of service. Our experience was very disappointing.

One of the best in Wailea, again and again
Somehow we had not been here in a while, but so glad it is back on the rotation!! Food always excellent, service spot on, very tasty bread service (rare here) and probably the best view on our side of the island. Absolutely eat outside. If the only seats are inside go somewhere else. Seriously. The music inside is loud and intrusive. Wolfgang did you really pick the playlist??? Scrap it.
The Red Curry alone is worth the 14 hour flight from the East Coast. Deck dining couldn't have been nicer, the view and the sunset was spectacular. We had a very special VIP guest and the service couldn't have been better.
Spagos exceptional dining experience.
Spagos fired on all cylinders one expects of a restaurant of this stature. Exceptional service, unbelievable food and meticulous service in a beautiful location.

Absolutely nothing beats dinner at Spago's!
Love the lamb chops; perfect with the Hunan eggplant. Try the ahi tuna spicy poke appetizer. Only wish I could dine there every week!
We celebrated one of our honeymoon nights at Spago and it was nothing short of amazing! From the bar service to drinks to the view from our table to our meal, this night will be one will will remember for a long time. Thank you for everything, we will be back our next visit for sure, and will highly recommend you to all family and friends.
